Car has done 80K and has done about 10K on the last mods (injectors, pump, tune). Minor problems as they stood were the actuator being unable to control boost levels accurately (I have been waiting for what seems forever to get another actuator designed for higher boost; unfortunately there seems to be a part shortage through my tuner - but that is another story!).Last night, driving with mates along the Inner City Bypass driving sedately at 60km/h in forth, going down a slight hill so not acceleration. Go to reapply accelerator when road levels out, pedal is completely dead, 5 seconds later it stalls. Car will not restart, regardless of changing tunes with the SCT box, disconnecting battery for over 20 minutes and trying again several times etc. This has never happened before, only sign of it coming was that it seems in the last two weeks it has taken a spilt second longer to start the car of a morning. Also, the car has smelt fuelly (which I accounted for the fact that the actuator not operating correctly will mean there is unburnt fuel when the ECU tells the injectors to open wider thinking there is boost there which drops out of the wastegate instead?).Bottom line is that the car got towed to Ford re: road side assistance. My obvious concerns now are:- What is the problem?- Will they be able to fix it?- Once/if they learn of the mods, will they wipe their hands of it and blame these?- What are my options for rectifying the problem?Any help would be appreciatedJoel. NighEve Member 193 Member For: 20y 8m 13d Posted 14/11/05 10:33 AM Author Share Posted 14/11/05 10:33 AM Ford has found the problem after their suggested many hours of work on it - dud fuel pump (Walbro aftermarket one was installed in August).Clearly this is upsetting now that I have to fit the bill for their labour and now I have to find a fuel pump capable of the mods once again (hopefully one that is more reliable then the stupid Walbro crap that has failled). Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/21262-possible-edit-tuning-problem/#findComment-315123 Share on other sites
