Un-believable

I live very close to The Pines Shopping Centre in East Doncaster. I am in and out regularly, often stopping off at Coles etc.

On holidays, and after hours, the entry from Blackburn Rd is closed. They have reasonably heavy steel gates that meet in the middle and are locked tight. Public holiday in Melbourne today, I new going in to the centre that entry would be closed. Entered fom the other side of the carpark but parked near the Blackburn rd exit, and the locked gate

Did my shopping and was walking back to the car when I saw this Corolla heading down towards this locked gate. Didnt think anything of it, until seconds later after hearing this massive bang.

This car, at reasonable speed, had taken out the gates, and wiped of the front of their car in one go Unbelievable. Perfect day, absolutely inexcusable accident. I have no idea exactly what happened, I can only assume the driver simply was not paying attention.

This is an example of why there will always be fatalities on the roads. No amount of speed cameras, breath testing stations or speed kills advertising is going to make people pay attention when they drive.

A woman ran in to the side of my T 2 weeks ago...

I was stationary in a line of traffic - perfect conditions and bang... She had two clear lanes to my right from which to choose but nonano had to hit me instread

Not very happy - specially when she tried to out run me - in an old mazda 323 - like that was going to happen...

Only hope the police catch up with her...

Still - got two new rims out of it - replacing two scratched ones so that was all good!

driving along and then slow down with the rest of the traffic, and then *screach* skid to a halt behind me or another car... obviously not paying attention and then looking up...
