August 19, 200521 yr #11 Thought I'd answer my own question, so I rang Ford Oz this morning. They didn't know, so I spoke to a local dealer, and he said it would be possible to order the Luxury Interior Pack and swap the sports leather seats for a set of cloth ones. However there would be no discount for swapping to the cloth seats, and labour would most likely be charged to swap the seats. So as much as I would like climate control, the smart thing would be to just order the premium sound option and standard cloth seatingWould be interesting to see how accommodating other dealers would be in regard to the seat swap, and whether or not they would charge less for the swapThanks everyone for your replies<{POST_SNAPBACK}>that's what I dedided upon also...
August 20, 200521 yr #12 Hi guys, I really like the leather in my XR6. It's a bit hard, but I've driven long distances and I sort of appreciate the firmness. And, it's really easy to keep clean, especially with kids in the back (ice-cream just wipes off...) However, I also like the really soft Euro leather in my Audi. Smells better too than Fords. But, I like both.

August 28, 200521 yr #19 Author I've been thinking about this for the last couple of days...If I did swap the Sports Leather Seats with someone who has cloth seats, I have no idea what a reasonable swap price would be. Ford lists the Sports Leather Seats as a stand-alone option at $2,495 (ouch!), so would $1500 for the swap be reasonable?
