I feel hayden should be dumped.. so should martyn ... in replace I think hussey and hodge should come in .. bring some new blood... like the paper was saying today, Australia are paying for there mistakes... . not dropping Dizzy at the start of the series and bringing Tait in. Tait is fantastic he brings raw pace.. he's faster than B.lee and he's young.. Hayden I feel is not there anymore.. he's dropping catches etc etc.. its time for a big re-shuffle (we got the players to do it!!) or its the end of our reign at the top!. But good on England it looks like they want it more!

Ponting is a dud :banghead: . Simple. I thought it before the series and before he was announced as Captain.

He is not that smart, is reactive, is a puppet and makes runs (other than one dig recently) when it doesn't count IMO.

He has been REALLY shown up by a smarter, hungrier and better leader this series in the Pommy captain.

Batting wise, I think Ponting is a brilliant player, one of, if not THE finest pull/hook player in the world and his cover drives are brilliant too but I think they are really under the cosh at the moment and the pressure is telling on ALL the batsmen.

Captaincy, I think, really he just isn't suited to it at all. We should put politics and the media aside and just bloody appoint Warne I think, veteren player with a good mind on the flow of the game.

Having said that, Vauhgn is a cluely little beggar, as was Hussein.

The four man bowling attack seems to be weighing us down.

What does everybody think of the umpires allowing the poms to rest their fast bowlers in 5 over spells and bring on a 12th man?

I'm not writing them off, I can just see that persisting with people who aren't firing and playing well just because the scored EightySeven Million against Outer-Bangladesh Thirds 17 years ago is folly.

I still think we can retain the Ashes, though possibly not win the series.

yea .. same here.. im not writing them off.. I feel that there just needs to be changes.. there are a few people in that team that are too sure of themselfs, and should get a threat (kick in the arse) to play better.. they are the world champs so all of them should be on top of there game .. or let go and get someone in who is playing better.. this doesn't mean drop them if they don't perform after a few games.. but the whole dizzy issue.. and now even though im a big fan of both players, hayden and martyn and not pulling there weight!.. its time for changes.. but in respect to this current game.. I hope both katich and clarke build a nice total .. I don't want them to lose!!

Well, what a surprise, Flintoff was plumb LBW AGAIN to Warne and given not out.

This has been the first time this tour I am not going to watch the game to the end. I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the umpiring
