ok, went out this morning, checked all the hoses, everything is tight with no movement around the connections, it mustve been either the clutch spinning or the torque tag, thanks fellas for helping, thanks a load off my mind  :spoton:

I will bet my left nut that it was the clutch slipping. I tried to tell my dealer this and their response was pretty much that I'm not driving the car properly. They are no longer my dealer!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

should I tell the dealer about the slip??

My rev limit is at 6250rpm if I remember correctly (edit), I will give it some stick tonight and see what KMh it runs to. I know 2nd will top well over 100kmh now.

I get 110km in 2nd in my Mk2 easy (actually I think 110 in my Mk1 and the Mk2 probably closer to 120?)...probably higher. I imagine at 6250 you should be a bit above that.
