Power, we won't need the exhaust manifold either. We are building 2 sets of custom headers for the engine. One will be a single T6 large frame, the other is for a pair of twin T4's. This will definitely be a custom deal. Custom is all we do...lol

As for getting a mustang with barra 6 motor to nail a RB 26dett. It will do it.

We have some contacts that we have called and we are going to try to make this thing a reality. I think a fox body with a XR6T engine properly done will see mid 7's@ 180+.

I say go for it mate... And make sure you keep us up to date with the build up.

With the fabrication and strengthening work your shop is capable of, there is absolutely no reason why you won't see 1500hp out of the 4L 6.

out of interest, how did you first hear of the xr6t from all the way over there??

the 1200+ horspower was done on high octane unleaded I think, so on methanol it should go closeto 1500hp now (with the same mods as Nizpro.)

TroughRolly, we saw an article on one of the mustangs web pages. We had been looking for something different to run. We are trying to bridge the gab between the import drag cars running I6's and the domestic cars running V8's. The imports always cry foul cause we have 2 more cylinders. We this now levels the playing field and now it comes to better head flow design and how much power we can extract from one of these motors.

Blueboost, we plan to go well beyond where they have been. We are already working on the chassis to be able to clear Twin T70's and also be able to swap in a single style manifold with a Large frame thumper.

Ymmm...your picture of Onofre's outlaw.....what the hell is that turbo? It looks totally and utterly insane!

His car is running a PTE 101 Thumper series. From 91.5 to 106mm they are all the same outer physical size.
