Replacing Remotes

Featured Replies

The bloody TV remote has gone permanent walkabout me thinks :nono:

It probably needed it anyways cos I had chewed (yes...chewed) it to pieces anyways but at any rate it does need replacing.

Can anyone reccomend a good cheap generic replacement one or will I have to go and battle some 8 Headed Dragon at the end of the earth to get another OEM one :pooh:

It's an NEC telly, by the way.

Help would be much appreciated :pooh:

Cheers,

Lumpy :pooh:

dick smith has programmable replacements from abot $30.

I scored one from K-Mart for $10.

It is basic but it works!

A programable remote would be the way to go.

So are these programable ones a Point and Shoot jobbie or what?

Can I point it at the telly and it works or what?

I'm pretty stupid when it comes to this stuff :pooh:

Looks pretty good alright...

But for that price I just keep looking for the 'Blow Me' button...It must be hidden there somewhere... :nono:

I don't know much about programmable remotes but this is what happened with my amp/reciever remote which is programmable.

I needed the original remote to program the programmable remote.

If that is the case, you're up sh*t creek mate :P
