Bogan boy,

THREAD IS ABOUT ¼ MILE TIMES AND that's WHAT I POSTED ABOUT YOU IGNORANT BOGAN. People like you are so stupid it is funny. You reference a GT-R with a 200B? Please, think before you type. You look totally stupid when you say dumb crap like that. Since you want to talk about a long drive, start a thread about it. This was a thread about a manual XR6T running 11's stop going such off topic and try be a normal person for once. :spit:

BMW M3 CSL  :spit:

Dazza.

Except BMW M3 CSL

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Why except a BMW M3 CSL? They are raw, stipped down and rough... Isnt this the point you were trying to make against the other cars? :w00t2:

This thread reminds me of my mate of FF.com who keeps boasting about how he ran a 14.5 in his EB XR6 with diff gear and cams. I have only run a 14.7 in my ute and he keeps boast, 14.5 from a $9000 EB!! ANd you got a 14.7 from a $40,000 BA!!

The thing is, what would you really have? I don't have much of an answer to him, but since I don't drive to work/Girlfriends/go on holidays via willow bank dragway every day, but I can still pull mid 14s in an otherwise stock Falcon, who's the real winner here?

Besides, on the freeway, the bull sh*t stops when I toast his arse!! LOL!

The GT-R could run an 11sec quarter while still being as comfortable for 4 adults (boo hoo can't sqeeze in 5) as the XR6-T. And it could do all that without diff clunk, driveline backlash, sssh shhh rear brakes and so forth while driving Melbourne to Sydney heh.

No comment

I'm assuming you haven't sat in many GTR's then....

The ride is rough as, they don't like hard edges in our Aussie roads and sometimes you can even catch the front end wanting to tramline with groves....

I would never drive one accross australia, especially since I'm 6"4 @ near 100kg, you trying fitting me into the back of one for extended periods of time.... Just ain't gonna happen!

T > GTR for comfort, anyday, everyday.

The no comment was relating to Stangs comment, I said something but decided to withdraw it.

And I've sat in many thanks. The ride quality can be compromised as easily as it can be corrected depending on setup and associated hardware. I bet you could screw up the ride comfort of an XR6-T very easily.

In any case, the original post was pretty much answered in the 4th post :)

You could fit 4 adults in if the rear passangers had no legs, :spoton: They were built for 2 people and I have no idea why they rear seat is even there, same with supras.

:spoton: WTF??

If cheap 1/4 mile times really matter, buy an LA lancer, gas axe out everything except the front seat and fit a jap import turbo engine. Doable for ~$7000

If comfort matters above all else get a Bently or rolls royce.

If Number of people you can carry is so importaint get a Leyland bus.

If you want a car that's a reasonable compromise on all these, get a T, but realize, it's a compromise.

The reason I drive a T is because I like it.
