Simple...Weight can stop a train.......GTR skyline's, evo's ???... Drive one of them T's long distance around the mountains and the flats... Take it 1500 - 2000km's a day.. fast..... and remember that the XR6T is basically the same chassis and dynamics as a ford fairmont Ghia or LTD...... and the GTR skyline's, evo's, wrx's, the same as a barina, cordia, Camry, datsun 200B..... Anyone can sit on a packet of cornflakes and slide down a hill.. but who wants to design a barrel that holds 5 comfortably with the a/c on and roll down the same hill as the cornflake dudes slide or roll down a hill and beat them over 1km + (basically cause the Datsun boys are a bunch of girls and cant afford a decent car).... We are still spinning here from what we got... So stop making sense please...... What times could the same cars produce over 800m.... or for that matter 1500mNow go ask the question to someone who gives a shat........ However I dont understand why you are so nasty in your post. All cars have a purpose and referring to GT-R's etc to 200B either shows how stupid you are and having no idea or you were simply trying to be funny? BTW, I would back the GT-R over 800m or 1500m Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16805-why-cant-a-manual-t/#findComment-239943 Share on other sites

But from what I have seen my mate pump into his GTR to run a 12.2, it is far cheaper to mod an XR6T to do a 12 than it is for a GTR, he has spent over $7000 to do a 12.2 and I am sure a few guys here have spent less to do a similar time.Dazza. Have no idea what all the series of GTR's do down the quarter, apart from my friends car I really am not interested in them that much, I just wish ford will take some hints from nissan in relation to there component strength, ie, gearboxes, diffs etc. My mate is still running stock gearbox and diffs with an upgraded clutch, copes with regular 8000rpm launches and has never looked like failing in the 4 years he has owned the car.Dazza.
