What is the silver trimming around the speakers made of, have you replaced the whole rear shelf with mdf, is there any bits of the car that didn't want to go back together after the install. thanks

the speaker surrounds are made of mdf and shaped to fit. the rear parcel shelf is standard as we mounted the speakers in origanal location and just removed the grill.

no everything went back together ok. it was designed like that.

the BA's have 5" x 7" speakers in them I just bought JBL 5" x 7" fitted St8 in there and sounds alot better, im getting a 5 channel amp which will work off the speaker wire's I think seeing the stero dont have the RCA inputs the amp is $499

where did you get the front speaker surrounds from, I like the silver going onto the door can thay be made for 5" x 7" I realy want to get them

ps booked my car into ford to get a stainless grill that's looks like the FPV GT grills where the intercooler is and an airbox which is going to boost up around the 260kw mark with out touching the warenty all up both moda are $710

$450 for the air box and pollished stainless steel pipe fitted.

$260 for the grill fitted. Will add Pics when its done and I get the digi camera back from the shop

the door pods were made by autobarn bundall on the gold coast out of mdf to suit speakers and doors they should be able to be done for 5x7's

as for the grill are you able to let me know where you are getting it from as we have thinking about doing this

Did you run your power and RCA lines together and are they under the drivers scuff panel or is there an easier way? Also, what's the concensus on 6" splits vs 5x7's? I've never used decent 5x7's - can they handle any bass compared to a 6" or 6.5" speaker? (I'm not talking Subwoofer style bass here!)

thay are (JBL GTO 7525E 180w I payed $150 for 2 and I bought 4) thay are 2 way the bass is good in them but fords stero is 25w per channel which is prety crap there is no rca output at all on the stero I had to go through the speaker's which the guy at erina car sound done for me I didnt get to much info on that... (sorry) but yes I say at least 60% better then fords speakers and thay dont distorte at high levals which the ford ones did plus the JBL's are made for the AU falcon which are the same as the BA so there is no Mod's at all to get them in and the origanal covers go st8 back on I would show u but I only have a digtal camera for my mobile if you have mms mobile phone I can send them to u otherwise u have to wait till I get my digi camera back from the show and im in the process of getting the windows control's blue this is going to be fun and very tempting to walk into a ford dealer and take the ones out of the fairmont seeing thay pop out so easy...

is there any chance of getting the templet for the side door pannel ??? the stainless front pannel was showed to me by Cragi (service manger) at ELN ford on the central coast which I was surprised becaus at the start when I met his he was a real *beep* (my clutch was constalnty on and was burning out from day 1 and hard as a rock I got a real work out when using the car now its fixed the clutch is as soft as anything I have used...

THE RCA MAINLY DOWN LH SIDE, POWER DOWN RIGHT HAND FORD CONVENITLY PROVIDED A CHANNEL ON BOTHSIDES UNDER SCUFF PLATE TO EXTRA CABLING. AS FOR SPEAKERS THE SIX INCH SPLITS WE HAVE USED ARE DESIRNED FOR SURROUND SOUND THEY COST $550.00 A SET. SIW SPLITS WILL ALWAYS GIVE BETTER TOTAL SOUND THAN TWO 5X7'S.I BELIEVE AUTO BARN USED THE GRILL AS A TEMPLATE BUT I WILL ASK THEM TOMORROW ABOUT IT
