I see what you're saying, I guess it's no use going bigger pipe, it'll only bottleneck at the cooler anyway. It's funny how ford chose a smaller upper hose. They even went to the trouble of making a hose with different diameters at each end.

It will also match up pretty close to the outside dia. So it should be a good fit if you plan on using the factory rubber hose. macka
