21/01/05 04:32 AM21/01/05 04:32 AM #1 Yep, you heard right. GIMLI is gone, outta ere, no more. Well let it be a lesson, only have a car in YOUR name. Jodie was cool about the whole thing and thought I wanted to keep it but with $37,000+ still owing on the loan? Forget that!!! I'll never own what I wanted originally. It's going to work out for the better. I managed to negotiate a $33,000 trade in for GIMLI and refinanced the loan for a little 5 door Daewoo for the soon to be ex wife to have so we both have a car each that we owe nothing on. The debt has been lowered by a good $17,000 so that's more for us on the seperation when we go our own way and everything is paid out. We are being civil about the whole thing. It's hard but I'm trying my best although there is a world of hurt involved. We are planing to split 50/50.The house will be on the market next week and my plan will be to put a deposit on a 2nd hand XR6T Ute not long after settlement. I'm taking GEEA's advice, I've always wanted one so stuf it!!! I'm doing it. Make myself happy for a change and finally have a decent car that I can call MINE and ALL MINE!!!So on Monday, I will no longer have GIMLI. I'm going to miss the hell out of that car but think. I'll soon enough be a true member of this forum and will soon be proud to be along side the other XR6T brothers and sisters of this awesome forum and having fun with my new toy on the future cruises as no way am I leaving something I've had a lot to do with. I'm sure some excellent memories will be created to replace the not so great ones.In a couple of months time, honestly guys, I will be in the market for a XR6 TURBO Ute so if you want to pm or email me if your's comes on the market, by all means, keep me in mind. Oh.....And if it's Phantom, Mandarin/Blood Orange, Silhouette or Vixen, hmm, It will be very, very tempting. Those are the colours I'll be looking for. Hell I'd even consider Blueprint.. Haha, just kidding. Older members knew I wanted a Blueprint XR6T Ute originally.Few pics in GIMLI's memory: Taken on the Byron Bay Cruise with GEEA.
