Maybe a few nips and tucks and work on the in-line features such as muffler, resonator etc may make it sound better and run smoother? the noise that I speak of at 100km/h isn't a drone its just that the exhaust was too lound. once we did a few kms on the mufflers it seemed to quieten a little but not enough for me! Will see. The whole idea of the exhaust is to use the factory stuff the way it is as much as possible to make it cheap as possible, so we don't want to stuff around to much. How loud was it (in car) compared to a stock XR6-T? Does it sound the same as an XR6-T?Personally I would like the N/A XR6 to sound a bit beefier and a bit different from the stock 6 cyl (Yes I know its got the stock 6 cyl - but hey it is an XR!, it shouldn't sound the same as the stock 6 cyl ). However I too don't want the sound to be too excessive and an intrusion. My understanding was the XR6-T sounded beefier than the standard 6 cyl but not over the top. I was just hoping that a lot of this was down to the exhaust setup and hence it could be added to the non-turbo 6 to help improve performance and make it sound a bit nicer.Anyhow its great to see someone actually trying out different options on the N/A XR6. I would say there are quite alot of people monitoring your progress to work out what the best way is to go, in regards to exhaust options on the non-turbo 6. So thanks for your work harasn. So thanks for your work harasn. before we started this exhaust mod on the NA I had heard that a turbo cuts down the exhaust noise. The NA with the turbo exhaust showed just how much it does cut the noise up! Its too loud but we will have figures to quote soon. It wouldn't be legal. Its very harsh as well! will find something that sounds good as that's what we are looking for!
