so it doesnt out shine the GT and FPV V8's would be my guess, we all know the T's have the edge on easy hop up options and ford need to keep some street cred for the V8, or they wont sell any of them, hence the XR8 with 260kw always dynos 10KW ander a turbo with 240KW.

same story for the GT and the typhoon, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to work it out.

The V8 for boys who like noise and have small dicks, the T for people who want a  car that goes, Fast.

there, that should get some debate going.

mmmm, put the popcorn on.

Ill Fuel the fire!!

How many people do you know, when you talk about turbo cars like the XRT

and explain there great power gains for little $$$ just say one thing....

You can't beat the sound of a V8!! (most of these guys would keep there 8's stock and never here them for what they are)

BTW im not a v8 hater, ive owned 2 along with 3 turbos.

Had a drive of a mate's MkI FPV GT on Wednesday down the old Pacific high way. He don't have many mods just the Herrod spacer and the Herrod sure shift and the Brembos, but that's one nice peace of work, real point and shoot type driving.

And because Im on the subject can you all make a little noise for the OLD PACIFIC HIGH WAY, that's got to be one of the best back roads in NSW. Bugger know how many bike riders can't be wrong (there where 5 bikes to ever car and a lot of them are GT fans, we were getting the nod as the screamed past the other way all afternoon).

All Sydney members should get out and enjoy the Old Pacific, but have a go at it during the week, to much trafic on the week end.

The Boss is just a throw back to a day when you needed a V8 to go fast, see what happens to the Boss when Ford get the new N/A 220kw 6 into production. Whack a Turbo to that thing and watch high end Euro car owner hide, or go out and buy Fords.

In my eyes the GTs a lot of fun, try saying its sh*t on a 55km/h corner at 115km/h (and lived to tell the tale).

God bless Brembos. :spoton:

Ok NOS XR. You got my attention. What is this 'new N/A 220kw 6' that you speak of and what do you know about it. When is it coming to us?

Lot of coin that SS induction thingy......

Id be spending my hard earned on a XR8 airbox, a lot cheaper, and some good gains to be had.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've tried both and $ aside the SS induction worked better for me.

I also tried the SS and the XR8 airbox combined and despite the increase in intake noice, it had a negative effect. Some thing to do with the ram effect possibly. Getting rid of the ribs in the airbox proved to be a better reward for effort.:spoton:
