I would if my income allowed it, it would be great to have a car that quick backed by a factory warranty and still have a ford badge on it :spoton:

You can buy a GT-P now that will set you back $80k.

Problem is the service levels are the same as if you bought a Festiva and that's where Ford have major issues. You are still dealing with the same service manager drongo's and receiving the same"there all like that" statements while having a car with quality issues that are claimed to be normal.

l couldnt do it unless Ford got serious about both quality and service and that isnt going to happen. l was contacted by a member from FF yesterday asking me about driveline shunt. He just took delivery of a new optioned up Typhoon and has severe banging from the rear end. He is really disappointed, Ford you are :censored: stupid sometimes, the mightly $$$ isnt everything.

Good points mondie. We all want Ford to build better cars and have better performance but would we pay for it. that's the real question.

Anyone who can afford 80k + for a car might want a better car than Ford currently delivers. doe you agree with that. Many posters here complain about serivce and repairs at 50k spend.

Both HSV and Ford are already in Luxo car territory at 80k.

No. There are many ways to get that kind of performance. It would be nice though to have bragging rights for a factory car quicker than a HSV. I don't plan to buy a V8 Supercar but gotta love the Ford 1-2 :censored:

Driveline shunt in Typhoon, oh no I cant believe you Ford. Mondie are you fairdinkum? WTF is going on FPV how can you let this happen? Rant suit off, spending $80k on a Ford I dont think so, spending just under $60k OTR was painfull enough for GT, but it boils down to the individuals definition of value for money. $80K for an Aussie banger and all the crap that sometimes can go with it (as mondie say's) is over the top for me anyway. That applies to the Lion also. Same crap different brand and issues. I just thank f I have no shunt (or any other issues) in my auto GT

l wished l was joking Rob, l feel sorry for the guy. He wanted some pointers on how l went about getting it rectified, doubt he liked my answer  Its really disappointing and just makes you wonder, the F6 may be the fastest Aussie car ever built (well until someone posted the new HSV's times tonight) but if its a dog to drive as my GT was, who cares.

Ford have the luxury pack, now they just need to add the quality pack. l would pay extra for that :o

If I was interested in getting a large 4 door car with sub 13sec 1/4 mile type performance what are the other options around $80000. I'm thinking that any European cars in that catagory would be well past twice that price and there wouldn't be many sub 13 sec cars there either.

If I had more income to spend on a car and Ford built a car that ran sub 13's and handled and stopped well I would definately consider it. My experience with my Ford dealer has been great and I doubt it could have been any better anywhere else. I've only had a few minor issues and all have been fixed asap and always with great service.

Geea. :w00t2:

YES, but my disposible income would have to be much more than it is now! :w00t2:

.............I think I would always buy a FORD no matter what.

Call me foolish if you like - it's just whats in yer blood I guess! :w00t2:
