HI Everyone

I have just got off the phone with 3 different Shell stations in my area and none of them have the optisoot.

This was after I visited the other 3 to find them out.

One of the servo's told me there was a problem at the refinery which wouldn't be fixed untill mid december.

Can anyone confirm this???

If true, this probably explains why Caltex have just increased the price of Vortex by an extra cent per litre. It used to 6c above ULP pump price, now it's 7c.

As the Operator of one of the very few "Independant" Shell Servo's............Im not even allowed to sell Optimax let alone ask questions about it..........we are only allowed to sell "Premium".

If you can get an answer out of Shell on anything you are doing well!The entire Shell organisation is a complete ClusterF*%k and has been for about 12 months now.....(Since Coles bought in).

Lucky we have decided to rebrand before Shell collapsed in a big heap anyways!

I've had no probs getting it as yet (Filled up last night). Bummer if it was to run dry. I've only ever put optimax in my car.

It's been getting pretty bad in southern NSW.

What's worse, it seems that since Coles bought into Shell no servo wants to let me know where I can get premium from because all premium sites are independant.

Was in Batemans Bay, and asked where I can get Optimax or Premium Unleaded from a Shell, they said either try Canberra or Nowra. Wouldn't even give me any names of places around the bay where I could get some premium from, even though just north of the bay, in Braidwood and Milton premo is available.

The same thing happened at the southbound side at Sutton Forest. At least the northbound side still had some left in their tanks...

Luckily my local shell in Canberra (Tuggeranong) has plenty of it.

No optimax ............grrrr. I generally dont go near any Ultimate or Synergy.

Looks like some extra out of the way driving for fuel until some of that 98 ron Vortex is available

If your planning a long trip and you have a Shell Fuel card, it might be worth calling up petrol stations you will be passing to find out if they got premium or optimax.

I keep a printed copy in my car now incase there is no one that wants to help me out at a Coles Express.

Dos'nt matter I never run optimax in my car ive heard to many bad stories...I run BP Ultimate which I find the best
