Hey guys,

I have found some rims 18x8 that I like and they look pretty good :msm:

One question I have is what tyre size do can I go upto with King SL and SSL springs without rubbing? For an extra 250 I can go from 235 all round to a 245 at the front and 275 as the back, which will fill those huge gueards nice!

But will they rub with SL in front and SSL in back?? Or will I have to go to an SL sping in the back?? I am getting the rims before I get the spring put in. I like the idea getting some fats to fill the BA guards because the car looks shocking if there is a huge gap (offset) between tyre and guard.

Thanks!! :ermm:

you can fit 275 in the back no problem doesnt matter if it is lowered

but one thing you sure you want to put a 275 tyre on a 8" rim will look a bit silly id stick with the 245 all round

I run 275's on the back but I have a 19" by 9.5" rim and im going to a 295 tyre and they fit with the guards lipped

Yea I think I might stick to a 245. I am not but from looking through wheel fitment guides the XRs and different to the XT/Futura/Fairmont so there might be a bit of difference there in space?

Worst thing is every place I go I get a differenct story about what is good and what is not!

Thanks

As with Adam I also have 275 on the back with 9.5" wheels.

However they do hit the guard at the back; the reason is that he offset isn't quite right;they are out just a bit too far, but look great; like Adam I'm looking at 295 on the rear, so I'm considering machining about 5mm off the wheel to take it in, plus rolling the guard, plus perhaps raise the ride height just a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions and help from everyone!!

I have found the rims I like and am in the process of deciding what tyre is best for the money I want to spend.

The rims are 18x8.5 and tyre size will be 235 all round. This is due to the fact that a better quality tyre in anything over 235 wide in an 18 inch is way over the budget! I want to go the same setup as Benny so atleast I know I am safe. :spoton:
