Last time I was in Germany, I had a Barina (Called Corsa over there) blew past me at well over the 200km/H mark. I unfortunately was only in a Fiat that time.

On a AutoBahn, it is amazing just how quickly a car "backs off" when you lift off the gas and just how well the whole thing works over there.

Had a Boxter last time, punched it all the way to about 300Km/h.

There would be no drama with the brakes on a "T" at those speeds on an AutoBahn.

Go for it Speedy, you'll probably find that someone over there may be able to do it for you.. I beleive there is a "large industry" of Car Hackers over there..

Compared with roads like the Hume Highway the autobahns I have driven on even though non speed restricted were not good roads. Watch out for the off ramps as these can have very tight corners. Autobahns can have fairly tight turns and are often crowded. As always I recommend learning a road well before pushing your car to the limits and then being cught out by a sharper turn than expected.

They also keep changing the speed limits for short periods and have stupid things like tank crossings. So watch out !!!

Have a go round the Nurburg Ring, that would be a blast.

Hope you got bigger brakes.

Scotty

And some big balls, I have pulled my T up a few times from 200kmph to stop and the standard brakes need a rest after that, even worse when you do it when they are shuddering.

Last time the wife I were on holidays we leased a Peugeo 406TD in Germany

the best I could do was 178km , it had 27km on the clock when we picked it up and just over 7oookm when gave it back.

The comment about cars pulling up quickly at high speed might apply to small light cars like the Fiat or Corsa as the air drag is so high relative to their weight. I was quite surprised how long it takes to slow down in a Falcon probably due to the extra tonne we are carrying.
