Sunroof

Hi all, after 6 weeks or so of waiting I have just seen my new shockwave T being prepared for Tues pick up, and I must say it looks awesome.

However I was enquiring about the sunroof which I was under the impression has a autoclose feature when the ignition is turned off. Could anyone shed some light for me here, I had the sunroof in the open position and turned the ignition off but it still remained open is that how it is?

Thanks

It should autoclose. Mine does and I read about it in the sales blurb for the roof they use.

There are 5 buttons that control the factory roof - I only ever use the two main ones. The LHS ( arrow back ) is for slide, the RHS (arrow forward ) tilt. If you want to leave the roof open in the slide position, turn the key off and hit the left button once. The roof will stay open. If you want the roof to stay open in the tilt position, turn the key off and hit the arrow forward button once. This will work if the roof is open before the car is turned off.

If you dont want to leave the roof open, it will close after a few seconds of switching the ignition off. Confused??

Is it an aftermarket roof? sometimes they just don't hook the feature up. I think it can be easily enabled though.

The sunroof was actually installed by FPV as part of the Ford Accessory. Will need to get this checked out.

So from what I can gather from the above entries, the sunroof will close as long as no buttons are pressed, hhhmmm, will need to get that checked out.

Thanks everyone

My sunroof has had to be fixed twice from being stuck open, its first symtom everytime was the sunroof not autoclosing.

I really only ever use the '1' and '2' buttons. One of them opens it to full tilt, the other opens it all the way flat and turning off the ignition closes it automatically unless I push one of the big buttons before it starts to move. Simple really.
