So you are saying who cares about speed cooks, dealers and all the Sudafed (& similar) runners that go through the chemists, all the bikie gangs. Forget about ALL of those criminal elements and just let people on a Friday/Saturday night go out speeding off their head.

wOULD YOU SAY THAT TO A BIKIE FACE TO FACE, I think not, nyway I bet you haven't raised more money for charities than you. So are you saying bikies are bad and the hundreds of thousands of dollars they raise for Sick Children is wrong?

I haven't used drugs for many years. but I can't see why others should be penalised for the occassional use.
Because its illegal and sustains an entire culture of other illegal activities.

NO because I didn't find the affects to be fun anymore, I don't care that someone said its bad, or you can't do that. I make my own mind up. And I would never run for parliment because you can't play the game against liers and win. I avoid liers cheats and selfish people, like you avoid drugs.

Mate, the bikies doing the toy run for kids aren't the same ones cooking speed in their barricaded club houses. And I have had very frank discussions with bikies. If I don't adopt an elitist attitude dealing with them, they are reasonable. This does not mean we agreed with each other's choice of profession.

Also, last year, the National Bluey Day raised over $1,000,000 for children with cancer. The Police Station I work at raised $13,000 of that.

What that has got to do with sniffer dogs though I'm not sure., but I'll answer your question.

I think we are going to go around in circles here. You are obviously someone that does what he chooses. So be it. Thinking this attitude does not affect anyone else is perhaps a little short-sighted.

I went out on Friday night, I have heard of cops getting round with sniffer dogs

I had a dog once... he was in to sniffing crack...

Y'know... I've never ever tried a drug... not pot, E... nothing. Not even as a kid. Never cigarettes either. It's just that I can't see why I need to take anything - smoke, inject, snort, whatever - just to enjoy myself.

Well I won't deny 'experimenting' with illicit drugs...well, pot, that's it. I ended up talking to a post :spit: ...Once was enough :beerchug:

ALL of my friends do and I mean ALL! It's quite scary to think that I'm in the minority of 20 year olds in a small county town.

One mate I have in particular worries me. He says that when he's on speed it makes him say wonderful things and he's a hit with the ladies and he's so happy etc. Why you NEED (Yes, he says he NEEDS them) any substance to allow you to hold a conversation with someone, or to smile is beyond me.

Its more an indication on society as a whole that we have pills, legal and not, to take care of our whim. Instead of changing our lifestyle to be happier, healthier, slimmer, hornier, less paranoid, more alert etc, we just take Prozac, Minoxodil, Reductil, Viagra,MDMA, Speed etc and keep living and whinging about the same old sh*tty life.

It's not like you don't KNOW that these drugs are illegal. Something that you wouldn't do everyday in the presence of a lawman and not expect negative results is generally an illegal activity.

Would you shoot someone in front of a policeman and not expect them to react? No

Would you drink drive in front a policeman and not expect them to react? No

Would you use illegal substances and not expect them to react? No

If you actively seek something out, that you know to be illegal, you generally do it as quietly as possible, to minimise the risk of being caught. Why, because you realise what you are doing IS illegal and you are acknowledging that there are negative repercussions.

Long Story Short. Do it, sure, but don't be upset if you get caught.

What really upsets me is that I have heard, never having been there myself, that large clubs, such as 'Family' in the Valley in Brisbane actually have small marble ledges in the cubicles. Whether the are for the use of partaking in lines or not, Im not too sure, but apparently plenty of people do. Now is that encouraging illegal activity? Or taking a proactive stance of minimsing risk of something that would otherwise happen off the toilet seat anyway?

And SBR79, mate, what ever cloud your on, come down from it!Not meant in a derogatory way but BOY OH BOY! Are you ever off with the fairies! :ermm:

Ba Turbs - Maybe you should post some pictures of the bikies you are talking about. Maybe some pictures of the Bindidos, Commancheroes (pardon Spelling) massacre way back. Now that was well before my time but I am sure it had something to do with drugs.

Pics can be seen at rotten.com

lol, hey Lumpy I came down from that cloud ages ago. Well at least I think I did. Mate I am not out there trying to change peoples point of view, but if something is illegal or not, doesn't mean it is good or bad either. If statistics were to be publicly broadcast showing Grog and Ciggies to be the number 1 killing drugs, then I guess there would be an uproar so large the mind can't comprehend it.

I know what you are saying, but the point is, if people who have or still do use maybe an E, or pot or stuff to relaX after a hard weeks work, then how uis that harming you as a person, and who are you to tell them not too. So it is illegal, so is speeding remember but I bet most of you against most drugs speed more often than you'll admit too on this forum. The risk is much higher putting your foot down thasn it is putting a pill in your mouth. See that statement about you never know what chemical is in the pill is mostly a poor reason for arguement, it was said earlier in this thread that dealers get richer because of the buyers, but if they were to hgo killing all the buyers, how is that statment true, they made 40 dollars for what, so that person is dead, and a 1 off 40 dollar pill got them richer, I mean come on think about it. Another fact that might cause a stir, and this is no sh*t a mate of mine who WAS a police officer here in QLD, now quit because he couldn't handle working for hypocrits, alot of the drugs on the street in Brisbane comes from the cops themselves, he saw it happening with his own eyes, they would confiscate them off youth, then sell them to known contacts in there area of patrol. Sorry if you guys who are police can't accept this, but police ain't the most honest people themselves.

Anyway, everyone has had vaild points, some of you maybe thinking I haven't but by particapating in these activities once, it taught me alot about aspects of the world, that society is too affraid to face up too, rather they hide it from the youth, and they find it out for themselves, and if you don't well some would say lucky you. BUT I don't regret having Used pot or having a pill, which I must stipulate I don't use anymore, mainly because I find other ways to relax and let go of the busy week I have just had, IE: My car (driving it) and my Partner and Dogs. So all in all-- Each to their own, and maybe all thiose who drink and smoke might just remember one day that those habits are just as dangerous has any other, and that if facts and statistics were really to be used, then they would be illegal too.

So BA-turbs says we should arrest anyone who funds illegal activity!!! pffft yeah that sure helps doesn't. So who are the victoms of drug dealers? the users I guess, so you say the victoms should be arrested, I reckon they should of arrested me too when I got held up when I used to work in a servo in newcastle too, yeah why not I am sustaining the arm rob industrie. yeah lets arrest bank tellers so we stop bank robbers making money too.

Great ideas.

when you said next time my car gets broken into I should just not call the police and just put it off as charity. well ive had my car broken into befor and I never called the police cause you guys don't do anything about it.... And if you think the same junky is the one you bust in a night club with a $40 cover charge I believe you are taking the drugs you confiscate. Junkys are not usually the ones that you bust entering the bigday out or the ones the cops busted in a night club in thredbo....

You say its a lawful search.... It shouldn't be a lawful search that's for sure.. A sniffer dog is nothing but a searching machine..

Take a look at what drugs are legal and look at all their problems. Acholhole brings more problems that marajuwana and its legal. Most the homeless people in sydney are homeless drunks not homeless pot heads or homeless pill popping dance club attenders.
