BLOWN BAs 15000 Service

Today l took the T in for it's 15000k service and some minor warranty issues at COFFEY FORD, and l can say that l'm very happy. l had a problem where it kept surging in power on cold mornings and they did a PCM upgrade, and that fixed the problem....boy does it feel different They washed it cleaned it inside the cabin and engine bay all for a minor $199 :lol:

I then drove down the road to Amberly Autos and spoke to Rob about the Xede and to replace the injectors ( the same as what Geeas got) that l finally got from my friend and got quoted $1550 fitted. l also asked Rob to replace the Valve Springs at $600, not a bad price indeed l said to Rob book it in for a Months time.

Now l have to wait for my Tax return which will be a good fiqure indeed

Hmmm, good work George!

My next service will be done over at Coffey, give them a go!

As for the chip, well neighbor sounds very interesting!

If you need a passanger while you are getting used to the extra power it offers, happy to oblige!

when you got the money, put it too good use before the missus hears about it 'eh... she'll wanna do somthing useless with it like "save it"... couldnt imagine the thought

BlownBA why not leave changing the valve springs until you know that they are really an issue. You might end up saving enough to keep the Boss happy by doing the chip, injectors and tune alone first to discover whether your particular springs are a limiting factor - don't take it as Gospel that all BAs have dodgy springs as there are several out there at Phase II with standard springs without 'issues'; the spring issue like the auto issue is becoming a bit of a cash cow/fad for some folk out there.

Just a thought....

I still have the standard springs George, they appear to work fine. It could be an option to leave them till a latter stage and see if they really need to be replaced.

THe price you pay if they are crud is a high one, possibly. Dropping the head off a valve is a costly way to learn & must be considered a potential outcome,

Guys thanks for your thoughts there but, l'd rather be happy nothing that my springs are strong for now.....
