even if the clubbies suspension is better, it ought to be for the category of car its in comparing it to the T

I agree. The beauty of the BA is in the rigidity of the Body. It allows the suspension to do its job. The Commondore still has the rigidity of an AU falcon. Needs its suspension for support hence, you need a kidney belt if you are going on a long run. Been there done that!

I used to have the same problem with dealerships. Nearly always wear T shirts and a T suit bottoms, sneakers or ford merchandise and long hair. If you saw me getting out of one of my cars you would think I stole them. One day I will grow up but not for a while yet Hardly anyone took me seriously until one starts rolling up in cars costing 3 times what they are trying to sell. Funny enough I have some friends in sales that basically have the same opinion. These days it really doesn't pay to judge a book by its cover. Even in Tassie you never really know who you’re dealing with until the sale has been lost.

I can't really work out how Expensive Daewoo are getting away with their model succession. Looks aside- run out HSV have always been pretty good buying. A work colleague is on his fourth HSV and he has always seemed to get good trade deals. It might be a case that once your there Expensive Daewoo work better deals to keep your there. Not sure but a situation that should work seems to work for Holden. Any other car manufacturer that bastards price like they do would destroy the very image they try to build.

How quick are these clubbies anyway? I am still smiling 24hrs after my encounter with one.

A VX/VY Clubbie R8 pulled up next to me yesterday. I did not think about running him but as he launched the sec the lights changed I planted my foot further. I was in manual mode so went through the gears to 5600rpms. As he had a slight initial advantage, in 1st he was level with me but each time I changed gears I would edge further ahead. He would creep up on me slightly when he changed but just before hitting 4th he was clearly beaten!!!!

We both then backed off as our speed was getting exsessive. He pulled up behind me and stayed there in embarrasment.

Aren't they 260kw motors? All I have done with mine is drive it like I stoll it when running in (within reason) and fitted a custom second air intake. So I was / am might happy. Cannot wait to get a Stage II fitted. So what is all the fuss about the Clubsports????

It's not the VX or VY1 clubbies you need to worry about.

It's the VYII's with 285kw that can beat you...

The dealers wouldnt even come out of their office when I was looking in the yard in my overalls. So I went back to my factory rang them up and told them to bring one over to where my business is. The tone changed dramatically when they came over, offering me a ride etc. You shouldnt judge a book by its cover,I didnt look that bad,lol. It isnt that easy in the real world considering they would get a lot of time wasters but it can cost them sales.
