For example, a GT makes peak torque of 520nm at 4500 revs, whereas I currently make 520nm at 3000 revs, 850nm by 3600 revs, and still have 600nm at 5800 revs (redline)! I'd possibly only lose out to a good V8 below 2000 revs, but I don't spend much time there.Other than the costs of engine upgrades you'll need $$$$ for brakes, drivetrain and tyre upgrades. There are a number of companies who wil be able to provide you with upgrade services.Enjoy.Brian Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/11832-bye-bye-hsv-gto-hello-xr6t/page/2/#findComment-143761 Share on other sites

Yeah welcome over from the dark side - Listen closely to bcl His mods are first rate and the car is still very reliable. Premium brakes are highly recommended and an aftermarket gearbox is an absolute necessity by the sounds of what type of power you want to have.APS are playing with a twin turbo LS1 at the moment I hear - much talk about it over on LS1.com? You have to imagine peak torque of over 1000Nm and power up near 550kw. How would you hold it on the road???Anyhow, enjoy the site ... Ive had mine for three months and already done some mods. The only limit that you'll find in finding performance with this engine is the wallet and gearboxesGive everyone a couple of years for developement and these things will make VL dunny cans look slow. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/11832-bye-bye-hsv-gto-hello-xr6t/page/2/#findComment-143978 Share on other sites
