Ive always been looking for good tyre blacks, and have spent alot of money doing so!

The following picture is my tyres after using a new product I have found thanks to my neighbour. It is called HOLDEN (yes) Tyre and Bumper shine and is this best ive ever used! Doesnt spray up all over the car etc either.

I use CRC Silicone spray on my tyres and they come up schmick I reckon. Can be slight problem with overspray going places it shouldn't but to get around that spray the silicone directly onto a rag and then wipe onto the tyre.

I like the Meguiars range of products. Love the woolly mitt it is great to wash the car with. Don't have any trouble with the Megauirs chamios, must say the car comes up great. Also use a product called Mothers Back to Black on the dash, interior door panels and console. Also on any little bits of black trim , like around the windows, mud flaps etc the Mothers brings it up great.

My problems are the windows can't ever get them smear free. Using Megauirs but still not great.

Know how you feel Ross, LOL, using the same spray myself ATM. Haha, spirts everywhere, usually apply with an old towel and yep, not too bad at all.

I use Megauirs and am very happy with it. Hey XRBloke have tried the Megauirs tyre black stuff, I think it is called Long Last and it is like a gel that is put on with an applicator sponge and if you don't over do it, I don't get splatts up the side of the car. Yeh the Megauirs chamois does take a bit to run in, But I have got mine going really good now but they are quite small. I used to have this one with holes in it and it was fantastic for about 8 years I rekon but I can't find them anywhere.

I've triied a lot of products for tyres and find that most either make your tyres gloss over (I hate that) or they end up having this slimy feel that gathers dust and ends up being this slimy black goop that gets on your clothes if you brush by the tyres.

The one product that I have found that does make the tyre walls look like brand new rubber with a very slight shine is Pyroil Citrus Tyre Cleaner. It's in a black aerosol spray can with orange text and is simply a spray on, no wipe treatment. Best part is that I sprayed in one 16 days ago (embarrassed to say I haven't washed the car since) and the tyres still look like new.

I think I got it at Repco. Autobahn in Chatswood said they don't stock it when I was in there last.

I use Armorall ( Spelling ) car wash wipes. No water no chamis needed also takes less than 5 minutes to do the whole car. Paket only costs a couple of dollars. I then use mequires gold wax on the car if it needs it. Glassy finish perfect every time and my car is silouette.
