Has anyone bought one of these computer covers yet.

How do they fit?

Any suggestions on where to buy one for a good price (in Sydney)?

I rang Autobarn yesterday, they quoted me $89 but said they'd do it for $80.

WTF, SS Inductions show it for $60 RRP on their website.

Cheers,

muzzzza...

Dont forget the WTF for the $60.00 for a piece of extruded plastic that cost them 20c to make... :crybaby:

I have looked into this and was warned against buying it as it could affect the temp of the ECU. It would prevent air from circulating around the ECU and if you cooked the computer, I am sure Ford warranty would point the finger at the plastic bit covering your ECU

Have to agree, at $60 it's still a rip off for whats involved.

However looks heaps better with it on IMO.

I've had one on now for about 3 months and never had any probs. I also got the same crap form local Ford service dude about the temp/air flow thing, but when you consider the temps within the engine bay when running, enspecially in summer, if anything the cover would shield some of this.

Fitting is simply a matter of scoring the 3 bolt tops so you can unscrew them with a blade screwdriver, then fitting the cover with the 3 new hex screws.

Looks extremely neat, and is something Ford should look at for presentation, as Expensive Daewoo still tend to have a better thought out engine bay.
