All I said was the GT has a different level of feel to it. I perhaps shouldnt have put the XR in the same category as the Clubsport but the truth is the XR's have a stiffer suspension to the GT( the GT suspension is clearly more forgiving). My real thought is buy Clubsport ask for kidney belt.Prior to buying the GT I had a Tickford Fairmont Ghia( handled great - same deal). Clearly the specs that ford put out must be wrong. In my opinion owning both cars, one is better than the other. Posted 01/08/04 12:03 AM Share Posted 01/08/04 12:03 AM In regards to 1/4 mile times and power, there have been massive differences in the recorded power of stock xr's, upto 15% in fact as stated on the APS site. I can also testify to this, cos my old car, a 99 pulsar SSS could pull a high 14 sec qtr and yet all the stats I could find had this car doing mid to high 15's. Go figure.
