There was a TSB released on the throttle body clean up on Friday. All they say is remove the intake pipes, spray some carby cleaner (or equivalent) into the throttle body and clean her up!

Seems to be doing the job!

Jewles, I wasn't saying it was a coincidence.

It may sound like I said that, it was my first post from my ipaq,  so it may have come out funny

It sounded like that cause that's what you said, melon-head

Sorry

Rob

No apology required , I know what ya meant. The coincidence or lack thereof is that the TB cleanup seems to do the trick . Time will tell :glad:

Mine developed this and after a few flashes etc. I managed to take it in whilst running rough and they looked at it and found it to be the 'Potentiometer' on the throttle body that was faulty or something. But all fixe now and running even better than ever and even getting slightly better fuel ecconomy.

XR6ikness,so tell us what you actually did,30 minutes? I hope your fly stayed up all that time.

When you take the hose off and expose the TB,what sort of crap is on it? where does it come from,K@N filter perhaps, thank

vik

Vik it comes from crankcase vapour which is routed back into the manifold right before the throttle body
