Geez Mate I'm sorry to hear that!

When the box was refitted did it shift as hard as the old box??

As you posted in another thread, I was also under the impression that the only stronger part available for these boxes was the kelvar band. Maybe some of these shops are having their own parts manufactured.

Where is the trans serial number located?

Cuspub, what is done to auto to make it handle 800nm (Not the specific details, just general info) ??

Mick

Mick, you're right, I can't go into too many specifics.

I say this becasue Nizpro in conjunction with its transmission partner, has spent lots of time on R&D (including various melt downs, slicing and dicing) to acheive a desired result.

Bottom line is there are more than 100 changes - with solenoid pressures virtually untouched for the simple reason that this is not - from our research - where the problems stem from. The upgrade includes various unique manufactured parts, massive valve body mods, numerous heavy duty parts and of course a thorough rebuild (whether new or old).

Hope this assists Mick.

Greg Brindley.

The line pressure relief valve shimmed up and S5 solenoid turned up for $250 with valve body out. that's robbery.

You can shim the line pressure valve up with it in the car, you need to make a special tool (pretty basic) to allow you to get the pin back in but simple as. Ask them how many mm did they shim it up by.

Worpor, sorry to hear the trans slipping again. These are complex things so one mistake can cause problems.

Did they put Kevlar bands in. I heard that these glaze the drums after a while and there is a better material available but not really proven yet.

Cuspub: How much are we talking about for the upgrade, and is it warrantied?

#26

Oh yea another point, people generally like to know what they are getting for their money, so if you guys are looking to sell any I suggest you give people some decent information.

Just a heads up, im sure you will take this critcism constructively as always.. :)

No its not. But they seem to be genuine.

The whole thing is no one wants to say what’s in them. To me that’s fine if they will warrant the box. I don’t need to know.

But! If there’s no warranty I think that they should tell you so you can make an informed decision.

For Northmeads price call them up the are at um Northmead Sydney. My box also got a stall convertor so im not 100% on the cost of the upgrade alone.

Caspub what has actually gone into your box

Worpor, this is exactly my point.. :)

It's $2400 drive in drive out (sorry about the cliche). And yes, everything that Nizpro sells is covered (except under ridiculous situations - scenarios whereby abuse will be obvious).

I hope you understand what I mean.

Greg Brindley.
