Guest 6six6 Guests Posted 16/05/04 08:03 AM Share Posted 16/05/04 08:03 AM Hi Peter (APS)I have read this thread with interest. A few weeks ago I posted a thread Here asking "Wanted Ford drivers to beat my ls1 with bolt ons"Well the response was luke warm and I am a little concerned its going cold.Maybe this is a good time to get your Expensive Daewoo Killer out on the track. Unfortunately you may not have enough time to finish things.I personally find it a bit sad that out of all the XR6T's in circulation the future of fast XR6T's that can kick Holdens butt relies on 1 (one) car? hmm and at that there has been unmentionable amounts of money thrown at it. And the quickest car to date runs 10.98.. we have NA cars running Quicker than that. What ever happened to trying to get a time on the track not trying to beat the other camp. Isn't that an admission of defeat?I put out the challenge in the other thread we have a few takers & I have kept the LS1 guys to stockers to make it even. I have even posted the LS1 guys mods & PB's. I asked for the same from the Ford boys. So far nobody is prepared to be open & honest. So lets get some XR6T's to the track and stop racing our keyboards. I dont care if I win or loose, I'm in it for the fun of owning and racing fast cars. Let the black top be the judge. 22, May 2004. Posted 16/05/04 08:31 AM Share Posted 16/05/04 08:31 AM Hi 6six6, I have followed your drag challange with interest. If I was in Sydney I'd be there, but I'm in Melbourne and its a bit of a rtrip for a few runs.If you have any LS1's in Melbourne that have spent similar $'s to me I'd love to take them on. All up I have spent, $3897 on the engine and $1690 on the auto. These are retail prices that I have paid. I'm not sure what under $4000 would do to an LS1's engine but I doubt they'd be any quicker than me.Let me know Geea. Nice numbers markone2. I'm impressed that the LS1's are getting the same performance for the same dollars as the "T". I wouldn't be able to get to Sydney next weekend even if I wanted to as I have to work the next 3 weekends. I am going to try organise a big meet at Calder in a month or so and hopefully I can get a few interested from all camps. (see here)This is probably abit far from Brisbane for a few runs on the strip. If you do come I can entertain you one night with drinks and entertainment at my club.I'm also hoping to go to the LS1 nationals next year if they'll have me. I know Street Tuna was inviting a few turbo's this year and if the invite still stands I'll be there for sure.Geea. Iwas just wondering what the current mark to beat was ??How much power are people getting out of the XR6-T. that's power at the rear wheels, not some guestimated bullsh*t flywheel figure. And yes I know a Dyno is a tuning tool not a measuring stick but I'd still be curious as to what is being acheived. If poeple can please add what brand of Dyno the results were acheived on and at what level boost it would be appreciated. Also wondering what the quickest XR6-T was at the moment, whats the current quarter mile time everyone is chasing ? Thanks,The C and V Performance XR6T APS phase III sedan is currently the quickest T in Australia 10.98@124.87 MPH and the quickest XR6T ute in Australia is owned by APS 11.35 @ 125.73 and neither car runs NOS to achieve these times. You can view video action and time slips on the APS web site athttp://www.aps-xr6t.com/falcon/drags/1163.htmAs for the power at the wheels we have recently measured on our phase VI engine  526 kW's at the wheels also without NOS (tuned via the Unichip computer of course). That gives you something to aim for. PeterAPS Ok then... so with NOS you won't just be sh*tting yourself, you'd be having a few more kittens than expected aswell Maybe a 1000kw XR6 Turbo is possible one day Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/10679-so-whats-the-number-to-beat/page/8/#findComment-122922 Share on other sites
