New P Plater Law's In Victoria.....
your dead right. Theres bloody good reason for that 25 y.o insurance thing. You'll get a few years on you, and you'll look back and think, sh*t if I do 130km/h I really could die. laugh all you like but its the truth.

New P Plater Law's In Victoria.....
same story if you ask any p plate driver, they'll tell you how wonderful they are on the road, I have a mate who thinks hes a brilliant driver tailgating everybody on the road with only a few meters between each car, driving a car with poor brakes etc. the fact is, when you get a bit older you will realise just how poor (most) P plate drivers really are. I realise theres some good p plate drivers, but not a hell of a lot im afraid. The statistics in traffic fatalities speak for themselves. I believe there is a hell of a lot of extreemly poor young women drivers at the moment, and the stats I feel may actually change to where the females are worse drivers than the males. The thing is, that females dont have the 'agression' issues that males do.

Home Air Conditioner - Fujitsu
gday, we have this new place of ours, and its got 2 air conditioners, fujisu reverse cycle things. the one downstairs gets used all the time, the one upstairs hardly gets used at all. question is, do I need to maintain these things? other than give the filter a shake? do they have to be re-gassed like a car? I dont know anything about them. Cheers

I dont think P platers should be driving XR6 turbo's or any other high powered car im sorry. until they get a bit of maturity, and patience on the road. Overseas in the UK, they penalise you severely on insurance costs until your over 22ish. it can be up to 5000 pounds sterling or more a year for insurance on a 2 litre car. this is a bit steep, but I agree with it in the sence that P platers are the worst drivers on the road.

When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
mate, country cops are the WORST, I got pulled over for speeding in stanthorpe buy a copper, I was driving behind a mate, and the lanes were merging two lanes into one, outside of the pub in town, I pulled in behind him and continued driving at around 50. the copper was sitting in the drive through facing the road, and drove up behind us (we are doing 50k's mind you) he overtook us both on the wrong side of the road, pulled up a handbrake skid in front of my mate and jumped out and told us both "get out of the f*king car" we had absolutely no warning about this and my mate nearly ran into the side of the cop car. he claimed we were drag racing, ordered us screaming and yelling to follow him down to the station, there he gave us an in depth description of how he went to a shooting last week and had to watch some guys brains get cleaned off a wall.... to which I replied what the hell has that got to do with us? I had two coppers in the station screaming and yelling at me for half an hour, they were saying they were going to impound both cars, I wasnt having a bit of it and I bit back just as hard as they did (stupid of me now thinking about it) he told me that the two cars were in the one lane, and I said "ive lived here a hell of a lot longer than you have and I can tell you its two lanes there and I wasnt drag racing" this was 5 years ago or so. the way this guy carried on I swear he was on drugs, he ended up booking me for doing 60 in a 50, without a speed reading mind you. as I left town the next day to return to the coast, I went back past the pub, and sure enough I was right, it was two lanes where I past him. I probably should have gone back and complained but I didnt bother.

When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
yeah definately a hero complex, but I still dont know whether they were security or undercover police, one had a ful black uniform on like a security guard, the other was just in plain clothes. oh by the way tab, if I cant get to a toilet because of the que, and I need to go, I cant really think of a better option, other than pissing my pants ! theres no where near enough toilets in surfers paradise. In london at night they actually come up from underground out of the street to deal with the extra people. they charge you 20p but at least you get a loo.
-
When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
so you think that because I couldnt get to a toilet and I walked down an alleyway, and around the corner completely out of view from everybody (I had thought about this) that I should be locked up for the night? should have been an infringement notice, at worst, and / or a slap on the wrist. your just as bad as they are if you think that.

When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
nobodys cop bashing, there doing enough of that to themselves, without us needing to.

When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
when it happened last night I thought it was hillarious, made the night a bit interesting, but now I have to take the morning off work to go to court on the 5th. but the more I think about it the more pissed off im getting about it.

When You Need To Go, You Need To Go!
thought I'd post my story from last night up because I think its a bit rediculous. was at Indy on friday here on the coast, went out afterwards with some mates, it was around midnight and I was buggered and falling asleap after consuming quite a bit of alchahol. I left melbas in surfers and was going to get a cab, half way there I needed to hang a leak. So I find an alley way, walk down the very back of it, and round a corner, and pee on a concrete wall, totally out of view of everybody. Then these two guys, im not sure if they were secutiry guards or whatever come up from behind me and ask me what I was doing, I told them I thought it was quite obvious did they really need a detailed description. They started pushing me around and taunting me, so first I tried to walk around them and back to the street, and there like well have to get the police here, I tried to walk around them a second time and they wouldnt let me. So I had a think about it, and I thought of cracking the bigger bloke in the head, but I didnt know about this other guy, and I figured that with the amount of alchahol in me I probably couldnt throw a straight punch anyways. These guys werent interested in what I was doing, they just wanted to pick a fight with somebody. so rather than biff them I told them to call the police if my urinating bothered them so much, so they did, I got handcuffed, driven to the watch house, fingerprinted and kept there in a cell till 6 am the next morning. When they asked for my fingerprints I said dont I need to speak to a solicitor before I do that, and the copper reckoned I'd stay there all weekend if I played it that way. Im not saying what I did wasnt wrong, but I would have thought an on the spot fine would be appropriate, not to tie up the already congested court system with this rubbish, I bet the majistrate will be real happy about it. There was another guy in the cell with me, he was an older guy, 50 odd, who came in to report hooning in his street, some guys doing burnouts or something, and the copper he was talking to said "what do you want me to do about it?" and he said well for starters you can get off your arse and either make a phone call, or go and have a look. He was then wrestled to the ground, dragged up two flights of stairs, and locked up for the night - AND HE WAS REPORTING A CRIME! all because he pointed out the blindingly obvious which was this guy was lazy. He was in the same cell with me and had blood gushing out of his left leg. WE DONT NEED MORE COPS ON THE STREET WE JUST NEED BETTER ONES. oh and I almost forgot, it took 6 policeman to arrest me, and I didnt put up a struggle, so you tell me if you think we dont have enough police ???

Standard Ute Tonneau
I got it, required a bit of force but its tight now.
-
Standard Ute Tonneau
clip to what? the front of the tub liner or the bit of steel under the tub liner at the front, I cant seem to get it to grab to either.
-
Standard Ute Tonneau
Ive just taken my hardlid off completely, and im not using it anymore, ive gone back to the tonneau (spelling ???) cover is there a trick to putting the front bit on, does the plastic attach to the actual steel part of the tray, or to the tub liner? its a little bent on one side but I still cant seem to get it to stay put on either side. ive never put one on a ford before yesterday, the holdens have clips which I reckon are heaps better, I was thinking of maybe putting some velcro on if I cant get this to attach properly. I will say how glad I am to get this hardlid off finally and actually be able to make use of the ute properly.

Any Electritions Out There, Help Needed
NFI mate doesnt matter where its installed, you can do carpentry, brick laying etc to a point. whatever, but water and electrical are two no go areas. if your house burns down and an insurance investigator comes out and says who installed that spa, unless you can proove you didnt your insurance policy is void, not to mention the fines from the BSA. if you get done. all you need is a nosy neighbour that gets a whif of you doing your own electrical and your really in the sh*t. nothing to do with workplace health and safety, just against the law. my uncle is an electrician, but he let his licence run out years ago, he still wont touch anything electrical because hes not licenced.

Xbox 360 Advice From Experts Required
I love the few games I play on the 360 too. I bought it the night it came out, then waited months and months for games to come out and xbox live arcade games... and there still slow to release them. have a read of this http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/games/archives...5bn_charge.html My mrs works at harvey norman, and they are getting 360 consoles back in droves, they have fixed the problem, but there are loads and loads of old batches still on the shelves with the problem. its the 3 red lights of death. my first one went nearly 10 months before I had a problem, then I had 1 straight out of the box, one a month later, and the one I have now is freezing a bit. My younger brother has had 2 consoles. its the thermal compound they have used in the factory on the heatsink of the CPU. anyways its the worst selling of all 3 consoles, the wii is the number 1, then ps3, then xbox 360. besides which I just hate anything microsoft, this laptop im typing on will be the last MS related computer I will ever own.

Xbox 360 Advice From Experts Required
I might also add that the operating system on the xbox 360 is slow, when your in the middle of a game and bring up the menu, sometimes it takes a while to appear, they freeze a little too often sometimes. when your sending messages and receiving them, sometimes theres a bit of a wait changing between menus / windows, this can be quite annoying when your in the middle of a game. If microsoft had taken some actual notice of what people did to their ORIGINAL xbox consoles with the mod chips, they could have made a much better console. Dont even get me started on windows (any version - including vista)

Xbox 360 Advice From Experts Required
buy a nintendo wii. im on my 4th xbox 360 console, my younger brother is on his 2nd, they have a major overheating problem, every time I have sent it back I loose my game saves, I know I can back them up but I shouldnt have to, its a royal pain in the arse packing it up and returning it every time. Nintendo is cheaper, it has cheaper accessories, and I think it will be fun for the whole family. Theres stuff all games out for the 360 even now, every time I go to Electronics boutique they have the same range of games time after time. Microsoft didnt realease hardley any xbox live arcade games until the PS3 came out. They also charge money for you to play it online, which the others dont I believe. Ive been incredibly dissapointed with the software support for the 360 from microsoft. The PS3 I would say is a better option too, but its a sh*tload of money for what your getting. Microsoft is a sh*t company, there always 12 months behind everybody else, they have no original ideas of there own. Every time your computers slow, blame them, IT was never meant to be this difficult. (and im a MS certified professional by the way - if anybody wants to get technical) Microsoft BLOWS!!!

Federal Election 07
Well medicare going isnt even on the cards, and in politics you do need to keep the customer happy (customer being us) if your the PM or whatever, because you would generally want to keep your job, but you cant keep everybody happy, as we can all see with some of the posts on this forum, some people disagree with workchoices, other people think its a good thing. John howard came out and said he wont allow gay marriage in australia, so straight away he looses the gay vote, but if he did allow it, he would probably loose the christian vote... cant keep everybody happy. If you want some interesting reading, have a look at these few things... The heiner enquiry & Wayne Goss loosing the 'unloosable' election with huge popularity - with kevin rudd on side. (this is related to the heiner enquiry) I will say that Bob hawke was a good labour leader, also an athiest which is quite strange for a politician. but hes the only decent one I know of. I reckon peter beattie was not a bad speaker, sounded like somebody you could actually have a beer with, even though he stuffed everything he got his hands on. At the moment were better with the devil we know I think, all were seeing of labour is rudd at the moment, we dont seem to be concentrating on the people in his party (100% of which are union members). he doesnt have a team.

Federal Election 07
if your going to vote greens you might as well just vote labour, that's where the vote ends up. What are the greens good for? the false information on global warming that has been disproved by some 50,000 odd scientists worldwide. Costellos a good business person, that's what australia is, just the biggest business we have. We have the medicare system, and as long as we have medicare, well have reasonable health care in this country. Generally in business you have to keep the customer happy in order to get paid.

Federal Election 07
at the end of the day 15 energex workers sitting around a power pole every hour on their union entitled break is the labour way. <- hows this good for the economy, or anything putting a C.E.O. in a hospital, that's the liberal / business way. <- this is the smart vote. abolish STATES all together I reckon, and for christ sakes do yourself a favour and dont waste your vote on rudd the dud

Federal Election 07
Another area that I will blame for hospitals running the way they do is the bloody universities, teaching their professional bullsh*t, using 15 words to describe something that needs 2 words. that's where it all starts, the universitys and their labour arti farty hippy idealism. Its my belief that we should apprentice dentists, doctors, etc.

Federal Election 07
Ferrit faced is your opinion, he probably doesnt like the look of you either, that has no bearing on what he'd be like as a leader If you have been watching the news in the last I would say 2 years or so, you would know that a kangaroo would do a better job of managing our hospitals at the moment... & rural australia? did you see the council amalgamations thing beattie tried to do? I'll give you an example of this... I lived in rural australia for most of my life, 16 years in total. We had a new road put in at the end of our street, and they just did the bitumen not the gutters and put the bitumen against the dirt - was going to look sh*t. Dad rung the council and spoke to somebody there and said it was going to look sh*t and could they do the gutters as well. a few days later they fixed it all. If we amalgamate the councils country people cant do this, they have to phone a 1300 number and wait on hold or whatever, and probably drive 4 hours just to voice their opinion. People live in the country because its personal, they dont want that kind of rubbish. the problem with the hospitals is the hospitals themselves, not the federal politicians, even with a change of government we still end up with the same hospital management / staff - the whole system has to change, which definately wont happen with a labour federal government, it will just get slower and more painful for everybody. Howard announced today I think he wants to appoint a C.E.O. for every hospital, making them accountable for problems, I think that's a great idea, run it like a business, loose the government lazyness, if private business had the money government departments had...
