cheers mate that's exactly what I was after, that's better than the fuji manual. I actually played with the ISO settings today and got some decent results, heres one I took of my dog. got it on the mac desktop at the moment. its a little dark, but I can correct that on the computer easily enough. second one was taken in hervey bay yesterday, I shrunk it to upload, but I just used auto settings for that, I was trying to take some shots directly into the sun but I couldnt get the settings right to get the desired results so I wont post those. Ive been told I have a good eye for it, but I cant work the friggin camera !!

gday, ive had my fuji S9600 digital camera for a while now, and I have been having trouble with the settings, ive read the manual twice, and it still doesnt actually explain what everything does. if I put it on auto, even outdoors, sometimes the shots are blurry, I have had some luck fiddling with the settings and I can see what its capable of but not all my photos turn out like that becuase I have no idea what im doing basically. anybody own this camera and can give me some tips? or even the s9500 or s9000 because I dont think theres much difference

heres another idea, because im looking at all options. if I traded (down) to a new Hilux 2.7 petrol trayback ute, looks like about 22 with on roads, maybe a bit less, would I get a really sh*t trade on my XR or would they do a swap? im interested in a practical work ute, and im not bothered if I stay with ford or not, I know I cant break a hilux

The fact is, that the WEST (that's us) is pretty happy with the way we live etc. right now, and the way we are right now, is thanks to the brits. what else have we got? communisom? kill the jews? kill the infidels ? so you can bag the brits all you want, but were all pretty happy with the way things are right now, how long it will stay this way im not sure, but in general, theres democeracy. its the same with the aboriginals, you hear the stories of how the aboriginies were murdered by the brits etc. but what you dont hear is how they actually tried to school as many aboriginals as they could, to make them get ahead like the rest of the whites (as were still trying to do today). and you can have a go at the irish thing all you want at the end of the day King henry the 8th might have been ruthless, but he educated to us just how easily a religion could be formed, and showed us that the world doesnt have to be ruled by church groups, the irish thing was about allowing religious freedom in ireland, which to this day doesnt exsist (ive lived there) your either a catholic, or you live in the north or the uk. theres no other religion but catholic in ireland, ive never seen a place like it, and its so backward, you drive over the border in ireland, and its like going crossing from inverell to sydney.

I dont think im an expert, far from it, I just take an interest in the subject. I have no military experience (hence 90% of my family is dead because of military experience)so I dont plan on having any in the near future. sorry guys I just have absolutely no time for religion of any kind, every time I hear the word 'religion' im offended.

WW2 / Hitler had very strong ties to the catholic church, hence the current pope being a member of the natzi party. When germany fell, the catholic priests who were hiding germans right through italy, gave them passage, alot of them ended up down in africa converting the blacks. They got out fast because the italian tanks had 5 gears in reverse I think you'll find WW1 and WW2 had very strong ties with religion. If you look at which countries were neutral in the war, ireland is a good example, a huge catholic population, of course there not going to be fighting with the germans because they would have had the sh*t bombed out of them, but they can remain neutral, and feed intelligence back to germany, which is exactly what happened. Theres a good show called the Tudors on cable, I dont know if anybody has watched it, but it shows just how much power these religious groups have, basically the popes and the arch bishops decide who is going to be invaded, well then they did anyways, not so much now. one of these groups also tells us about how the earth is flat, the non exsistance of dinosaurs, and how the earth is the centre of the universe. but they had to change their tune on those issues, im picking on one particular religion here, one might say they could be held on charges of genocide because of not allowing their people to use contraception, causing massive outbreaks of HIV / Aids the world over.

just about my entire family has served in WW1, WW2, all through the irish stuff as well. They were everything from snipers, commando's, 2 air force pilots, and we even had a Lt. Colonel in the family. My uncle also built a bomb shelter about 5 years before WW2, and was laughed at by the entire street "what the hell are you going to need that for" kind of things. Guess where the entire street was when liverpool was bombed whats your families military history...

I dont even sit on the same street as the religious people, let alone the same fence. I believe there is more athiests in the world now than any religious group, its only a matter of time before everybody starts to wake up, some people are a little slower than others... if you are religious, which religion? and what makes yours the 'right' one? there are so many different fairy tailes out there its hard to know which one is the correct one. what makes any of them right? there were religions around long before christianity or the muslum faiths, where are they now? im not having a go at one religion, im having a go at EVERY SINGLE religion, its all madness.

Iran is now a nuclear power, and the U.S. stopped being a super power, a long long time ago, the financial heart of the world has reverted back to london already. with a huge praportion of their troops in the middle east, the U.S. wide open to invasion of a massive scale, from the chinese, the koreans or the russians, whom of which all seem to be in cahoots at the moment as the new axis. People assume the US will save the day, it never has in the past, and never will, they have always been the last on the battlefield. They have just been told by the russians not to interfere with irans nuclear program, even though the countries leader is a complete madman, and wants the west dead and burried. not really a response to your comment, but just because everybody in the US has a gun doesnt mean anything, everybody in the chinese army has a gun too, and probably better ones than whats kept in most US houses. end of the day it all comes down to religion generally, I think the sooner everybody stops going to church / mosks etc. we'd all be better off god didnt create man, man created god I believe.

the general consensus just before WW1 (late 1800's early 1900's) was that we were far too civilized to wage a war on that scale. since then there has been WW1, WW2, ..... you know the rest. were overdue I think. Ive been saying for a while we've had it too good for too long (particularly here in australia). somethings got to give. It was the state of the worlds economy that helped trigger WW2, much like it is in the sh*t now. I highly doubt anybody will start printing extra money, but well see.

I thought id ask everybodys opinion of this, as I was having a chat with a mate the other day and I came to relize that the current state of global affairs is just about mirroring what went on before WW1 and WW2... world finances are in the sh*t (more so US economy), oil is over 100 a barrel, many more things, also just watched Lions for Lambs which freaked me out abit too. Things are very touch and go everywhere in the world at the moment. am I the only one who thinks that World War 3 could be right around the corner???

no, we did go for a look though early in the trip, cost us a small fortune, but it was a good laugh. I got a photo of a lady boy in the video that was working at our hotel, I didnt know she was a guy for a couple of days I just thought she was ugly, then I was told she was a lady boy, so I got a photo with her / him / shim whatever.

I didnt really do all that much touristy stuff really, just lots of stuff I cant do here without great difficulty and expense. even got a UK drivers licence for $40 (printed on plastic) !!! could have got my MBA or any diploma I wanted too. 2 weeks was a bit too long though, a week and a half would have been plenty, we actually lost a day somewhere we dont remember we went to check out of our hotel and they said "you stay extra day sir" we were like how the hell did we do that. beers were like 6.5 % so its not a big surprise, had my absolutely WORST beer hangover ever. that 357 magnum I fired was something else, I wasnt nearly prepared for how much power that thing had, I had to strangle it just to try and keep it still, it was impossible. I reckon if you wanted to hit the bullseye with it you would have to point it an inch below the bullseye, because the kick is just rediculous for a hand gun, I fired 10 shots and I think I hit the target 6 times, the rest went off in the background somewhere.

gday, heading to thailand for 2 weeks as of monday, straight into bangkok, then down to phuket, then apparently on a boat to some island for a thing called the half moon party, my mates organised it all so I'll just follow him. The mrs is terrified of planes, so she has to stay home :( so sad anybody been to the half moon party, whats it like? im also going to a shooting range and I get to fire an AK-47 and whatever other gun I can think of, im thinking the 44 magnum would be nice. they also have ATV's, paintball, monkey and cobra show at the same place, so sounds good.
