hi I have a prob like this to, if I see a worthy race at the lights ill boot it up there so I catch the red and slam on the breaks so I can get a good launch that little bit of a spray and sudden stop makes my idle dodgy for a while, not long at all but still idles luggy kinda off.. but it fixes it self so your prob is worse.. mine is stock, its prob gonna die when I mod it

hi I just bought me a gauge holder and boost and water temp gauges water temp wasn't on the list I just looked at so I guess ill not be usin that.. I actually pik them up tomorrow how would I get my hands on a radar detector?

so lets just assume I have no idea what im doin mate has rough idea of what he is doin, 20minute job? or 2 hours?? or pay some c*nt to install them?

A mate of mine helped me amke a cold air intake for mine, same as he used on his. and it worked a treat awesome, and cost about $85 or something along those lines.... I bought a Xr8 snorkle and I think it was 100mm plumbing pipe, ripped out the air box hacked out a hole shoved the plumbing pipe in there and I think for memory had to cut some of the snorkle off the end, squash the plumbing pipe into the end of the snorkle and jam it under the headlight.. bobs your uncle, cold air intake just like the phoon!

yeh I will put boost in and see if I can get something different for the water temp gauge, but I got the one cos it looked good.. robbo I bought 52mm gauges. the pod I bought no sure of the brand, but autopro ordered it in for me, gun metal in colour which is same as dash and by the look of the pic in the mag, it looked similar to the phoon gauge. but without the cool looking lip on the end.. I think the wires you need are under the panel that you have to remove, atleast some of them are anyway I found a pic on ebay that shows whats under it. but didn't see anything about how to install them. when I get home monday nite assuming my brother has picked up the stuff for me I will post back a pic of what it looks like, mate from the store has assembled it already just got to be plugged in.

Hi all. I just bought a pod and 2 gauges for the Xr, and I pick them up monday nite. I am gonna try to put them in myself is this wise or what? is it easy? if not anyone got any links or anything to show how to do it? any help would be good cos chances are I will have no idea what im doing! I have a boost gauge and water temp, cant remember the brand, boost was $180, and water temp $140 I got em cheap though, and I bought a gun metal pod, which I got cheap to, $365 total, sweet lookin gauges!

when I was running the higher boost, anything under 1/4 tank would start to die after I hit 140 or so, with foot flat anyway if that is what you mean when you say surging, as for the DTE, mine seems to be pretty accurate I asked mainly becuase I could never fit in other 60 liters next tank I will run dead empty and see what she takes!

It gets into temps of under 0 where I am and I have never really seen my temp gague any where but where it always is, which is just over 1/3..

You Think your problem is wierd, when I turn Left only sometimes now and then and only left my steering is really heavy like no powersteering at all. only does it while turning left and only sometimes, tyre pressure looks all fine but I havn't checked it. and if it was anything to do with power steering fluid id be guessing it would be doing it all the time? so WTF!!!

get a dyno test and see what the turbo is boosting at, I had similar problem and when I got the dyno I found that it was only boosting at 3.5psi, which is very low warranty got me a new one, so make sure you do it before you hit 100,000kms. or before its 3 years old!

Is yours stock though? if so, good work I raced my mates godzilla, 245kws at all 4 wheels, runnin 25psi and rollin starts, lets just say ill need the tune just to keep up.. he ran 12psi and would be alot closer of the 1/4 but id still go down... I reckon I would beat the stock R33 though.

yeh that's what I do, thought there mite be a shortcut on the steering wheel, but guess not

1 More thing, im sure you all no u can skip your cd tracks Forward, but is there anyway to make it go back.. I can only skip forward songs is there a trick to go back.. obviously I do this by the seek button or what ever it is. u can turn volume up and down. but not go back and forward on cds?

I raced an R33 skyline the other day, and well mine is stock and she peeled alot, prob my fault I was worried bout lossing to rice puncer so took off hard, even started spinned on spot before I launched.. then was drifting in my lane had to back of so didn't hit him when I launched, and in end stop cos as he hit 2nd lol he stepped into my lane right along side him so I braked n pulled over!

I think that it looks pretty gay, but I guy I worked with done something similar, he could of be lying wouldn't be suprised but he is rich so maybe. anyway he said bought his xr brand new, and had a new dash put in full wood grain like a statesman model before it.. no pics not much info on it. but stock is better anyway!

I think he means at night time, how it kinda reflects the screen onto the windscreen, ive never noticed glare at day time nothing worth remember and complaining about neway. but I wear sunnies so!

I know this has nothing to do with Xr6Ts but, my mate has a SS ute, 5.7ltr he drives it HARD with Low kms on his clock like under 10, and can still drive when it hits 0, so id say most cars would have to have some sort of reserve!

I have an auto I want a manual, that isn't trashed beyond repair! anyone wanna swap? I would of bought manual but when I bought mine they had excatly what I wanted but it was in auto. bought it cos it went hard as anyway.. Black 19" vault savanas, And custom plates under 70,000kms.. atm un modded only wanna swap while its stock.. if I mod it ill keep it! would a 250rwkw manual beat a 25rwkw auto.. good drivers in both.. same tyres etc...

im in SA, they took my car for 48 hours, was the best car they had got there hands on lol! and cop said, his words, I thought u saw me... as after I lost traction I kept it pinned, goes on to say, was gonna let me go cos no chance of catchin me! adds, then I saw u turn and slow down, so followed me I headed back towards were I did it, got caught Only cos I didnt' see him.. :(

may seem like a stupid question but once your car hits 0Kms, is it empty will it go no further or is there some fuel in reserve? becuase you can fill your car till it stops pumping then fit in 4-5 liters more.. the trip comp then rates me at about 575kms to empty. well when I drive to work and back on the high way anyway.. around town I get about 450-460 anyway, it goes over the FULL line, so is there fuel in reserve at the bottom of your tank, since you rarely got over 60 liters when ya fill it?

I had no idea you can get badges and brake pads replaced, I put mine in for the following! sticker around gear stick was bubbling passenger side window( MORE THEN ONCE) brake shudders, which they "didn't get time to do" diff center bearing Turbo was only boosting 3.5psi waste gauge half open or something! it goes in monday to fix what they brok when fixing the diff. which is shockies has to get the brake shudders fixed, which now that I no you can get brakes on warranty caused my brakes to go dodgy cos of my high way driving.. My passenger side fog light dont work either, can that be replaced, also the Xr6 badges on side skirts peeled to new ones!! that's all I can think of, But they flagged for the diff thing, but I can honestly say I done nothing that would cause a diff to brake in my car, I race ppl now and then. and drive on highway alot, dont do burn outs..
