I ask my self this question all the time. actual car 11.5k (had 40xxxkms when I bout it) rear end 4k gearbox 2.2k Wheels 2.5k 1st set of brakes I spent $1000 just about bought brembos with t3 2 piece (4.5k) Suspension 1.7k clutch 1.5k sway bars $850 all bushes replaced about 1k tuned $700 speakers, amp, head unit 3k and the other little it's and pieces 2k 80% work done by me so a lot of time invested aswell. This is without including the 2 t5's I had to replace, the last one I bought brand new and paid $1500 Added a photo of the cradle cause I'm proud of it ?

So I've got a ba xr6 and will be putting an fg f6 engaged be in it at some point, question is what do I have to do to make it saftely handle 450rwkw. I've built the rear end minus drive shafts so that's all good. Has a t56 so what am I going to have to do to that? Tail shaft - box and tail shaft came out of a bf xr6t engine mods - valve springs, oil pump. Injectors, fuel pump - Intercooler - air intake - (got an f6 intake on ATM, lower snorkel with k&n filter) And for anything else I'm missing just throw it in there.

Just bought some brembo calipers and turns out they didn't have the brackets (can't find any anywhere). Ended up buying another set of calipers with brackets so I can get some made up (needed a pair with the brackets so they can be copied), anywho im selling a set and keeping a set. (1 set is in good condition and 1 set has paint and clear peeling) I'm getting a pair painted for my self and was wondering should I get the set that's peeling painted and sell the good set or paint both and keep the set that didn't have the peeling? my main question is what would cause the calipers to peel and paint to fade? Does it mean they got hammered? Only asking cause I dnot want hammered calipers that are just gonna be sh*t and stuff up

I'm going to be putting rear electric windows in my car sometime soon and was wondering what has to be changed. I have been told by someone That it's only the door loom that has to be changed, so don't have to change body loom? Can anyone clarify?

Found a set of 4 pots on eBay last week for $1200 sent him a message ended up paying $1060 with postage. I've been doing. A ba y of research on the brembos and haven't yet seen anyone say that there are different brackets for different soze rotors. Everyone lists the discs for 6 pot and 4 pot. Just bought some 4 posts so any information would be helpful Did you do all the painting and sticker making your self? By sticker making I mean did you go out and get it made up or did the guy painting do it

Looks good, I'm thinking of taking it to a spray painter here (done a bit of panel beating and painting for me) and just see what he says. I'll put this idea in his head and see if he likes it, so you clear coated over the sticker?

Yes I know, another post. Sorry guys but can't afford to make mistakes so here we are. So for anyone who hasn't seen my recent post I was looking for brembo calipers (preferably black) ended up getting some fairly cheap but they were red. Has anyone had theirs painted before? If so how was it done and how did they go with getting the brembo (wife writing) back on there? I was looking into powder coating (supposed to be stronger than standard painting, not really sure). Id like to get them painted black but it's not a necessity, if it's too much of a stuff around I'll just stay red. Let me know what you guys have done, no bit of information is too big or too small. Also so I bought the front 4piston and will be buying the rear 4 piston, will there be any problems with this?

I thought this was a thread? I'm unsure of how to do that ? I heard concave clear east but dish is when ya start to have problems. Na don't know anyone with brembos

Just bought a set of the 4 piston brembo calipers (from fg, but read they will fit ba) and I've got 20" simmonds (see picture) unsure of offset, someone said the standard are +35 if say they are standard because when I bought them I didn't ask for a specific offset. Will these wheels clear

Aren't the 4piston and 6piston the same rotor? That's what I thought, I have just bought a set of the 4 piston and everywhere I looked (for discs) it said to suit brembo 4 and 6 piston? I thought that was the case, was hoping not though. Don't think I'd be able to cope mentally with different front and rear.

What's the go with dba rear disc rotors for the brembo upgrade? Been looking at getting the t3 5000 series disc can find plenary for front but no rears? Anyone know why.

Exactly why I'm doing This, doing everything before the power. I've dont the independent motorsport diff hat upgrade and true trac and replaced every bush in the rear spent just over $4000 just in the rear (no drive shafts yet though), gearbox, suspension all up I'm in this car 30k nearly so it's not a viable option to sell and buy another one.

Can anyone tell me if 20" simmonds fr1 will clear brembos 4or6 piston? Not sure on offset but was told the standard is +35 so maybe that's what they are

I was about to buy some t3's and red stuff pads but will be going fairly big power sometime soon and would rather just buy the brembos (calipers) and then I'll use t3 rotors and what ever pads I end up deciding on (have been told about so many different pads and tried a few and so far no luck. I know it's not cheap but I don't wanna do half the work now then have to re do it later, I've been contemplating this for months and brembos are the way to go for me

I'm looking at getting some brembo brakes for my ba sedan. Anyone know anyone selling any or somewhere to get some cheap leaf me know. Doesn't really bother me if they are 4 or 6 piston (obviously rather 6) if the price is right. Would like front and back but either or is good enough cause I'll just get the other set somewhere else.

Tail shaft? I'm talking about drive shafts like cv joints

So I've got a ba xr6 and it's got the bf turbo rear cradle and diff in it (obviously with the bf drive shafts/cv shafts) and after putting on in found out it's split and needs to be replaced. Rang malwood and was quoted $2750 (upgraded though) just bought some after market ones from supercheap (made by bearing whole salers) and one had theses and can tell me what the go is I paid $223 each so not sure if that's good or bad (compared to $2750 in feeling that there cheap crap that is just gonna break)

I just went out there and fiddled with the pcv (unplugged it, then plugged it back in) it didn't do it when the pcv wasn't in (I did break the pcv, but atleast I have a fix). I'll give it a throttle body clean and replace the pipe from the pcv just so I know it's all cleaned. 2 years I've been trying to find this out and mechanics had just said it's the engine, that's what they do and I knew there was a fix

I have 2, one turbo and one n/a (both do it) the n/a is tuned (done it before tuner) I have cleaned the throttle body (only used $20 can of themrpttle body cleaner) almost no difference. Just bought the turbo, was told it was tuned but no paper work, I'm yet to I've the thriller body and piping a clean.

Not with the car ATM and don't have any pics on my phone of damage. Lovells say 25-40mm (it's their first stage lowering). Doesn't scrape on speed humps. Just paid $1700 for bilstein shocks and Lovell a springs (nice ride). Never been a fan of coilovers. I uploaded a photo of the car so you can see where it sits. I've just had a thought, I have a feeling that I didn't get the front guards rolled and thus creating this problem. I'll have a look, if so I hope this fixes it because I'm on my second guard repair and paint and it's not cheap

Ba xr6 manual t56 1. I've been in about 10 different ba's and they've all done it. Door seals, always coming loose and getting caught out side the door and not letting it close properly. 2. Rear aircon vent, keeps falling off and will not clip in anymore. What's cause if it and what's the fix? 3. Rough idle, not sure if this is just the 4.0l's or the v8's aswell. At idle it runs like sh*t, revs can't stay still and aircon just makes it so much worse. Have had it stall a couple times it gets that bad and sh*t just vibrates. any information would be greatly appreciated, love my falcon but these little thing really bug me and I'm finally gonna try get some answers.

So I've got a ba xr6 that's got (sport low Lovells) with 225/35-20's and I've rolled the guards but it still hits in the front when turning. Like turning hard in a straight line is fine just when I'm going in a drive way any turning (when the wheel is sticking out of the guard, left guard when turning left) I done a real hard one and it peeled the inner lip of the guard out (don't have a picture or I would post it). I've been told to flare the guards, can someone give me a good idea and explain what flaring is and if you've got some pictures that would be great.
