  1. Happy Birthday GT89!

  2. Thanks for the advise guys... Will take it all on board and will definitely post some piks once I have done the deal and bough one
  3. Do the MKI GT/GTP's come with navigation or is that just the MKII?
  4. Well that isn't so bad, actually that is a great deal on those 6 pot brembo's. I had some people (probably HSV idiots) telling me pads can cost up to $600 a corner!!! I knew that couldn't possible be right.
  5. In regards to the brakes, I must ask this question. I've heard that brake pads can be quite dear. Now I know owning a car like this, that maintenance obviously will not be cheap. How much does it really cost to get the pads changed on the GT/GTP's???
  6. You're right, I am only 26 and yeah 50 years does seem like a long time but always been a ford man since my young days and always admired and obsessed over the older gt's and even the later EB/EL GT's. Now I'm in a position to finally buy one so it's hard to say I would ever sell it. Keeping it stock may be another issue though I have driven a worked XR6T and that thing blew me away, literally scared the life out of me. As yet I have not been in an F6 though I have only heard great things about them. The only reason why I haven't given the F6 any thought is that the GT has some heritage behind it's name. The F6 has really only been around for 2 generations (if that makes sense) Another thing is I'm not gonna get that V8 rumble from the F6 (not saying it doesn't make a damn good noise). I might just have to take one for a drive before I make that choice.
  7. Hey fellas, Im currently looking at entering the GT/GTP 335 family. My only problem is that I can't decide whether it is worth forking out the extra dough for the GT-P over the GT. I know the GTP has some advantages over the GT, though is it really worth the extra? Just to give you an idea of what I want out of the car, I'm not going to be tracking the car and I'm not the biggest HP fanatic you'll ever see. Basically I want something that is nice to look at and even better to drive. I will be keeping it (most likely) for the rest of my driving life, seeing as its such a big investment. Any thoughts...
