Installed mine behind intercooler, only thing I noticed was cooler trans temps, ZF shifts fine on and off the track - used this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121778714579 Because I have a pretty thick intercooler I removed the aircon radiator (I already broke the line going into it fitting IC so no issues there lol) so fitting was super easy.

cheers

got a gauge for the 3 pod on the dash

There is a plug in the side of the ZF as per picture - can it be used for oil temp?

Bfii Zf Auto Slipping(On Change)Whining And Not Changing

I think mine is the torque converter because it locks in gear and slips during change -
Bfii Zf Auto Slipping(On Change)Whining And Not Changing

Its weird does not slip in gear, I can push it to full boost easily with no slip. It's only on the gear change up or down it slips and if revs are too high *during* that change it goes into a limp mode stuck in whatever gear it happens in. -

150k, box isn't tuned -
Hey guys, Started today, first I thought I heard it slip, then after that a weird whine could be heard, parked up and left for 4 hours. Came back seemed OK for the first 5 minutes but then it slipped between gears and then a huge slip, after that it was stuck in 2nd with D flashing. Stopped on side of road and turned car off, started back up and D is no longer flashing and it changes gears but the slip is still there so I have to baby it. Any ideas what I'm in for? OBDII says... PO741 - Powertrain (Yellow) Torque convertor clutch circuit performance or stuck off. PO782 - Powertrain (Yellow) 2-3 Shift PO701 - Powertrain (Grey) Transmission control system range/performance Only slips between gears, I havn't pushed it so it hasn't done the flashing D no changing thing again. Car is tuned to around 312rwkw, trans has been out to tighten flexi bolts but has been down quarter since then. Any ideas? Is it torque converter? Need a rebuild? electronic?

Never thought of that, looks stealth as
-
Anyone done it? Any hints/tips? Turbo is about to poop itself and I have another aftermarket one here but no wastegate built in. Currently tuned around 312rwkw, 4" downpipe etc.. Thinking about going in here, 50mm... Any issues with this spot?
-
Drove the car for 3 weeks and on a 500km trip, was so easy to stay off boost, had a gauge so I could take it up the .5 bar without worrying so I was worried about nothing
-
Another question, do I have to change the fuel reg? 340-360rwkw ID1000 injectors, Walbro pump
-
thinking, if I wire wastegate open.. That will solve all problems yes? I can take the c clip off.
-
Can those original lines be purchased anywhere? The stiff replacement lines don't allow the spring action on the pot
-
LOL, a bit rough
-
Don't have a handheld :(
-
Oh real? Stink
-
Thanks all, I know it's not ideal. I think I'll drive it there with the cold side unhooked - should be safe I hope
-
well it's fitted and damn if I was doing that on the side of the road LOL Safe to drive 5hrs staying off boost?
-
It's a flying visit, I have a small window to get it done hence wanting to fit myself - I know it's easier if they do it and guarantees on work and all that but I either need to arrive down there earlier and do it outside myself or do it before I leave.
-
Can you safely do this if you stay off boost? Reason is I'm fitting myself and driving to the tuner (around a 5hr drive), if I stay off boost will I be safe? I'll fit injectors when I get to tuner but the actuator is a *beep* to change out fast. Or... Would I be better off adjusting and winding the arm out so the gate is always open, then it's impossible to overboost - is this safe? Car is BF2 XR6T, already has flapper mod done plus gutted cat and centre muffler delete.
