I raced a dude in a XB GT from the tollgates heading to gosford NSW , I was in an Xpolice , my speedo was off the clock (200+) when the XB's engine let go in a cloud of smoke. Man did I have to work the wheel to miss that one.

Sad to hear about the car but happy the little one was not in the car. At a least make sure all injuries are reported to a GP. My wife was hit buy a car INSIDE a Coles she was a little sore at the time so didnt bother, yrs after she still has pain and there is no way of getting the medical bills covered.

Go back to basics and use the tried and true method of the flash cards, both my kids could read and write before they started school. This makes it so much easier for them, they didn't have to struggle to learn and adjust to the new enviroment at the same time. A friends kid could not do either and is struggling all the time to keep up with the rest of the class.

Many moons ago Myself and a couple of mates purchased a Valiant ute (265 hemi) as a shooting buggy for a property that said mates father owned. Being young and dump we welded a bench seat accross the wheel tub and put a 1in pipe cage around the out side of the tray. OOPS had to drive it 500ks to the property. We got some funny looks but who cares. About 50k's from the property all dirt road, first thing that goes is the zoorst. Great sounded like a stock car. Guess who desided to see how fast it would go. O foregot about the bend. Mate said all he could see from the chase car is head lights-tail lights about 5 times, in the car neither me or the passanger remeber the car going around. was great ride doing close to 180k's on the dirt in a val.

I do a night shift in a sevo on the pacific hwy, the number of B doubles (the really big ones) on the road is astounding. the number of drivers off their faces on happy pills is scary. Yes get the trucks of the roads for now, BUT give us better roads with higher limits. IMO Speed does not kill poor driver taining is what kills.

Another sidenote: After WW2 the Us gov offered to build a 4 lane toll way from Bris to Melb, the then Fed gov said no thanks it will never be needed. How many lives would this have saved.

The fun of working a mower can not be understated, one afternoon in a quite workshop we pulled down a 2stroke. Shaved the head, ported and polished, removed the governor, put it back together and p*ssed our selves laughing for the next 2 hour with a mower that revved so hard even a rotary would have been jealous

Amour All was original designed by a vintage car nut to put a gloss on the tyres of his car. (I have meet the man) They found out latter that it also worked well on interiors of cars. I have also found that baby oil works well and gives a natural shine to the tyres of my rides. It is a petroleum-based product so it goes with out saying that any oil will work. I have also used the Yuk Off for many years and never been disappointed with it.

What happened to the price, last night it was over 400K now its back down to 150k. For the serious collector that car will be a good buy at any price, plus its for one of the best causes.
