What a great idea!!!!!! Don't have any kids myself but love the idea!!!!

I feel so ripped off looking at those pictures, when I ordered mine in February I originally had on my options list the blue gear shift and steering wheel. However, my dealer told me that the only blue they had was a dark blue, like narooma blue. However, after I ordered my car I have seen all these gear knobs and steering wheels that match my blueprint colours. I wonder if it is too late to order it now. My car is an april build car. Does anyone know if this is done at the factory or at the dealer?

I work for the Queensland Police Service, and noticed when I was at work last night that an email was sent to the whole service about the new VY Late model camira and BA Falcons radio and CD Player. Apparently, when you put a cheap copy or a burnt cd from a home computer it won't let you play it, apparently it won't let you eject the cd. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory? I'm not sure if this is just a scare tactic to stop officers from putting in a burnt cd. I'm hoping that this is not true as I often use burnt cds in my car!!!!!

I've ordered one too, I don't have any kids (some call me a kid) but I just like to have toys to play with. The only problem I have heard is that most DVD's are letter boxed and FORD hasn't created a suitable screen for the car. What I mean is that when you are watching DVD's on the 17.3cm screen and then it is letterboxed it is only going to be about 3/4 of the screen. However, if anyone has anymore information available I would gladly accept it as I haven't been able to find too much about this either.

Hi, I know that not a lot of people, if any, have had a service done, but I was wondering if anyone knew how much it costs these days. I currently own a ss Late model camira and it cost me $160 yesterday for a 30000k service, I pick my Ford up in April, just curious as to how much it would cost for a ford service.

I'm going to have too disagree with you on that one, becuase around my area I am seeing them as if they are old fashioned cars now. Everyone has one around here. I'll be joining them sometime soon HOPEFULLY!!!!!

That's great Banun, If I were you I wouldn't be sleeping at all tonight. I bought my car from that dealer and the same salesman as well. What did you think of them? He seemed pretty nice to me. I had another salesman but he ended up leaving and I now have Wayne Bennett. Good Luck and can't wait to hear the stories.

That was the only problem I had between choosing it or a dvd player. I am slightly hearing impaired so I couldn't hear it as well as some, so I opted for the DVD player. But it is good to see that they are going to do something about

I bought mine from Southside Ford, they seemed really good as I got caught up in all the crap that goes on with buying a car, but these guys seemed really nice. I find it amazing how some people are told a delivery date and some aren't I bought mine early february and told April. I ring up and was told late april but might be early april. How far out can they tell you when it will be ready? The problem is I have to do 37000k's on my current car, I have done 30000k's but I am not allowed to go over this amount by more than 50ks, otherwise it voids my trade in. But If I get there too soon I am going to be without a car for a couple of weeks. There are no problems about me not making 37000 I'll just take a day off work and drive up and down the freeway a couple of times.

If you don't mind me asking which dealer did you buy from?

Hi again, I bought my car in the first week of february, I was wondering if anyone else bought their car then and if so how long did the dealer say it would take to get. When I was ordering my car, I had to choose between the DVD player or the SAT NAV system. They had a sat nav system on display in one of the dealer cars, and it was quite a beauty actually. You have to get premium audio to get it because it comes up on the same screen as the audio controls do. It comes with a remote control and the sensor is on the front dash, but is not visible. It is just like a little computer in your dash. I'm sure it would be easy to use when you get used to it. The DVD just goes in the normal cd slot in your audio system of the car. With premium audio you get a six stacker so it just takes up one of them. It's actually pretty clever.

Hi, I am waiting for my xr6t to arrive sometime in April, but we will see. I was just wondering what the sound of the exhaust is like. Has anyone got it to burble a bit when dropping it back a few gears with the auto . I have a sports exhaust on my current car and love the sound of the burble but I dislike how the exhaust really goes through the whole car. Can you hear the exhaust inside the car? Thanks

It wasn't Autobarn by any chance was it. I had by stereo installed there in my old car they stuffed the whole car up it wasn't funny. I think this time I will just stick to the standard Premium Audio. It can't be that bad.

My dealer told me when I bought my car two weeks ago that it had something to do with Paul Weel (V8 Supercar). Apparently he owns a company on the gold coast and ford gave him a xr6t when they first came out, he mucked around with it and got the car up to 300kw without boosting the turbo. He was saying in May you will be able to buy all this stuff and it will be ford backed. SOUNDS TOO GOOD TOO BE TRUE!!!!!!!
