Hi Guys I am the only south side soul, living in Chisholm. I won't be able to make the cruise I am working that weekend Shame was looking forward to meeting you guys. Took my car for its first good cruise today all the way into Caringbah in Sydney. Went really well it was a hungry little animal at times, Just wanted to be given some hell.

yeah it is Mario he still has it. Owns a take away in Fyshwick across from my work. As far as he is concerned he believes Jake is the best in town. His words exactly where that he has owned around 9 turbo cars over the years and trusts Jake with his cars. And said the thing he likes the most about jake was apparently he listens to what you want where as others he has been to to and tell you that you need more than what your asking for. He said he wanted a pretty conservative tune and that's what he got apparently lol.

Not sure exactly what brands was used but had a bigger intercooler said that the injectors where 1000cc ss growler air intake full 3.5 inch with 5 inch cat custom made exhaust system and I think he said that he used vcm suite to tune it. Like I said mate im no pro but seem to have some sort of vaccum gauge inside the car as well was full digital display went from -17.5 to positive 14, he said the car wouldnt go over 14 pound boost. Other than that cant help you.

well today was interesting for me. Got my first experience in a 2011 fg F6. Had been worked a little apparently it is running around 380 rwks. Was impressed to say the least and thank god for Brembo brakes is all I can say lol. It had a nice constant aggressive pull through all the gears and got to a decent speed real quick. Now I know weather it was really worth spending the extra money for performance or not wow. The only problem is I know I am going to have to update the brakes as well ha ha. Now something else to consider in Canberra as a good tuner. This is the third person this week who has recommended this person to go and see. Apparently he is a bit of a Brain when it comes to tuning and takes it very seriously. And from all accounts I here that he really listens to what you want not tells you what you want. The F6 I was in today was tuned by him and he said to the guy that he wanted the car for two days to make sure he really got it right. The F6 owner said that he even rings ford to get all the specs and delves further into what will work best with the standard components. Anyway I decided to see what I could find on the bloke and found his website he works out at Mitchell also. And if you have heard anything different about this bloke let me know? Ahh and I also saw the esp work ute today cruising past me as well today.

On my old car I used a set of silverstone ftz sports tyres. They are due to be replaced but I got over 50,000kms out of them without rotating them as well. They where great in the dry very sticky on the roads, but not so good in the wet. But for the amount of kms I got out of them im not to fussed. Cant remember what they cost me as I bought them years ago but they where between $180 and $220 each I believe. Not even sure if you can even still buy them but will be looking into it.

Ok guys I should be getting things done to my car around then as well. But I will also be looking at sydney shops as well. Autotech with Spiro most likely. I guess once we all get a better idea on how much we are looking at doing to our cars with our budgets in mind we could get a couple of quotes from shops.

Hi mate thanks for your response. I have also been thinking about running my car on the e fuel but the e85 which is more common I believe. But also its a cheaper fuel to buy and gives a little more power, win win really. I am lead to believe that you need to run bigger injectors for the e fuel like the 80's or 1000cc so will be looking at those if I do upgrade. There are just so many different combinations you can use makes it hard to just make a decision. I just find it hard to spend money on things when I don't really know what I am doing lol. For me it's a little frustrating cause I want to make sure I am buying good quality stuff without going over the top with prices. Lol I guess I am like everyone else out there who wants the best without having to pay for it. Worst thing is I deal with these sort of people every day in my job and they annoy the crap out of me lol.

Wow mate sounds like you have a pretty decent setup under the hood. Thanks for all the info. Would like to catch up with you if your in Fyshwick working one day. Who knows you might even take me for a spin and show me first hand what 300 + kws feels like. But then again that may be a bad idea you could lead me and my wallet a stray. spending spreeeeeeeeeee

I would love to do something to my car to make it a little different from others, but I simply cant afford it. I am going to have to start to think about things. I am just starting to think that I have the dreamers bug at the moment. Although the wife has given me the go ahead to get some mods done to my car which will be happening in around May this year providing things don't go wrong and I dont have to spend money on other things. After reading a heap of posts in these forums about mods to peoples cars. It seems many different people do many different things to reach the same sort of powers from their cars. What I would like to hear from you guys is what you reckon would be best. I guess I am wanting to hear it from you guys being that you guys are local and we all have a decent rapore with each other. I suppose I should say what I am wanting to acheive from this car, that way you can all recommend what you reckon would be best I am really open to any suggestions. I dont want to have to change the turbo over so I am looking to keep it below 320 rwkws but that is around the power I am after. If possible I dont want to have to really change any of the hardware on the motor other than the injectors. I know I need to upgrade the cat convertor but am thinking about changing the whole system from the turbo back, depending on budget. Looking at a bigger air intake, and maybe upgrading the intercooler to something bigger and of course x3 tune to top it off. I also hear that if you increase any level of power to your car all the hoses should be replaced? When you upgrade your intercooler do you get all of these hoses as part of a package? Any advice you guys can offer it would be really appreciated, Thanks Dan.

spotted a G6ET at fyshwick near anytime fitness and BCF was white looked lowered couldn't get a good look because I was cruising past it on my way home but it looked very sleek and sexy, I loved the look of it.

Well seems like the 2nd or 3rd of march might be the best for everyone I think? I might be available then as well but I cant be a hundred percent sure. But we could go out to the ford day thing and then maybe head out for a cruise some where after that. Anyway its just another idea that may work better for everyone as well even if I cant make it?

I hear both of ya. No point me entering my car is stock as a rock other than my awesome air freshner that gives me another 1kw of pure fresh air into my nose intake, lol. Well if I wasn't working would have been nice. In fact hold that thought its in march I have no idea if I am working it or not yet have to wait a few more weeks yet before I can say lol. The guy who does our rosters only does them right near the end of the month so wont know yet.

well just got a quote from Autotech in sydney, for stage 1+ plus full exhaust system, much better than Gentech In mitchell. When we meet up I will let you know prices don't like putting company prices up on the internet for everyone to see :sungum:

Seems like some of you have got some good deals out there. I just bought a 2010 fg xr6t was built on dec 31st though so basicly a 2011 model. had 47 thousand kms on it. It had fabric protection done on it with lifetime warranty apparently so the book says anyway. GPS built in as well. I managed to get them to throw in another 3 years extended warranty as well and a full tank of petrol, lol. Cost me 31.5 k was pretty happy with that.
