  1. yeh not sure how it would go lowered.... they poke out about 80-90mm from the guards so may have to go like +35's to fit them under? doing a photoshoot with the car sunday night so will have decent pics next week to show it
  2. Any trance lovers on here? im a trance DJ in Adelaide- I do weekly shows on Fresh927 here, any lovers of the trance should hit me up on fb (http://www.facebook.com/xxD6xx) and my show is airing tonight on Fresh927 from 2AM Enjoy!
  3. thanks mate! car is stock height with just the rear guards rolled. wheels scrub a tiny bit when going up steep driveways but other then that its fine car was tuned last week and made 334.4kw atw- but gets no traction even with those tires on it :\ so much fun though
  4. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/84744-d6s-ba-xr6t/
  5. So got my car back from Bruce Heinrich and glad to see it made 334.4kw on 15psi! Now my main problem is getting the power to the ground (even with 10.5's on the rear!) Mods are: Dekas 60lb injectors FMIC Process West CAI 7psi actuator Walbro 600lph fuel pump 4' dump, 5' cat and 3.5' system Iridium plugs PWR Trans cooler SCT Xcal Big thanks to Heinrich Performance!
  6. Yeh- will baby it down to Bruces and see what he says hopefully just a quick adjustment and its all good
  7. RIGHT! So I found the problems was a sh*tty plug I put in where the BOV used to be which had popped off and was letting all the boost go. I took it for a drive and now it makes 15psi no worries but spikes like a bitch to 20 and more and also backfires and splutters while it does it- while making boost is also seems to just lag or hold back a bit like its got a tune problem or something. Tried re-flashing it but still does the same thing :( any ideas? will still take it to see bruce on monday but just thought in the mean time if it may be anything simple?
  8. Where exactly on the manifold? Just where the IC piping joins on? Would that also explain why it won't flutter now? :/
  9. got it booked in monday to go back in and get checked out- fingers crossed its not the turbo :(
  10. I dont like when ppl say that checked as much as I could without a hoist/jack- inlet manifold isnt pained
  11. Just disconnect the vac line to the actuator? how can I tell if its faulty? I will check all the IC piping thoroughly and hope that its split somewhere. Would it throw a fault code detectable on the SCT if this is the case? Coz the SCT says "unable to read DCT's" :\
  12. boost leak u reckon? Ive checked all the lines that I can see.... any that are particularly sh*t/hard to get to that I have missed (quiet likely) could the actuator be stuck open? also my mate said that the bang and sudden force is sometimes enough to dislodge the honeycomb in the cat causing to block the exhaust?
  13. So I was happily minding my own skids today cruising at 15psi when my car stuttered funny and then BANG! cooler pipe blows off. I pulled over immediately and put it back on and checked for any other leaks or anything. Now the car wont make any more than 10psi and only comes on very slowly and wont flutter like it was before, leading me to believe ive killed my turbo. Could you guys think if it could be anything else? Also if it IS my turbo what would be the best to get? Price wise and power wise? I have an SCT Xcal3 from Heinrich's and would like a turbo that wont need a retune (stock only then?) Ive been looking at possibly a GT42? (if so what housing sizes?) and would this require a full retune or just a re-flash? Any help would be awesome! It was fun while it lasted..... for under 24hrs >_< Daimo p.s and just to further my story I just took off the inlet and wriggled the shaft (of the turbo) and it had very little play (well under 1mm) :\ Any other ideas?
  14. Still on after I restart the car- was fine doing skids all day, but then went to overtake on the freeway at 100kmh and Lost traction and it came on :/
  15. Had my car tuned yesterday with an SCT xcal3 and was driving on the freeway and my traction control light came on and is now staying on. I can't turn it off- thinking maybe a wheel speed sensor possibly? Gonna try and get the fault codes with the SCT but just trying to figure out what else it could be Cheers Daimo
  16. I'm lookin at getting them machined eventually to they don't poke out as much... It's a bit too much for me :/
  17. went in today..... so pumped to see how it comes out
  18. Purchased this car about 7months ago and have made it my little project ever since. After having 2 twin turbo Aristo's I decided the single was the way to go- although giving up the sound of a 2J is hard, but definitely glad I did Purchased it stock only with a set of CSA 19's on it. Mods right now (After 2months of hard work) are: Process West CAI HDI FMIC Kit Xforce 4' dump to full 3.5' system Varrstoen 2.2.2's 19x9.5 +22 fronts and 19x10.5 +22 rears All LED globes Autometer cobalt series boost and oil pressure gauges AUX cable HKS turbo timer Taxi dash mat PWR Trans cooler Guards rolled XR8 Bonnet RDA 4000 series front rotors with Bendix pads Walbro 550lph intank fuel pump This is it with the following mods (plus work in progress shots) Its no wlike this- Ready for the following to go in and tune to be done at Heinrich Performance: 600cc injectors braided turbo line 12psi actuator NGK iridiums Valve springs & Retainers Tune SCT Xcal3 Hoping for anything over 330kw, but I have a sneaking suspicion my gearbox or turbo will have other ideas. It goes in on tuesday so wish me luck!! will update this once its done and will be getting some decent photos done once its been detailed D6
  19. so finally got them out and fitted the new globes (yet to be tested) but was acutally pretty easy, just push the fog lights out of the bumper gently. Then u will need a small flat head screw driver to pry the metal rim of the light assembly out of the plastic holder mount. There is a rubber surround covering the back of the globe that simply pulls off revealing the clip that hold the globe in. not sure how it is on other models but just play around with it I guess
  20. That's what I'm after! thanks.
  21. Yeh doing It to match the other lights, seeings I can never use my foggies anyway The brightness doesn't bother me haha
  22. I found them on eBay- ill post a link tonight and get some pics up when it's all done. So basically just brute (but gentle) force to push them out and then undo them? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WHITE-H11-LED-Fog-Light-Bulbs-FORD-FALCON-FG-XR6-XR8-G6E-TURBO-/320786797374?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab062133e&_uhb=1#ht_3967wt_948
  23. hey guys, trying to change my BA fog light globes for LED ones and im absolutely puzzled as to how to get them out. I have the bumper off and just looking at it there is no way to unscrew it or anything. I apologise if there is a thread that already answers my question. Daimo
  24. Hey guys, ive got myself a PW under battery CAI, im not running a BOV and was just curious if anyone else has the same set up? if so just wondering what the noise is like?
