I have had this issue for a while as well.. I think unclewal's approach may be the key to my issue. sometimes when I change gears the whine goes and the volume goes up about 3 incremements. its a c*#t of an issue.

yeah mate, factory orange. the color is called octane. I had the dish of the rims painted with the same colour code.

Hey guys, This is my 09 FG xr6T ute.. Im on the sunny coast. Its got a decent stereo ( focal splits, sub amp). Custom painted 20's and a bit of engine work making 430hp at the wheels. So far she seems to be turning heads. Would like to know what you guys think of the colour scheme. cheers!

Hi there, my FG xr6T has just over 49000ks on it. Ive noticed, as im taking off, if im turning slightly it will make about 5-8 little clunks (until I get up over about 15kmh.) I havent thrashed it much as the axle tramp when snapping 2nd is just horrible and ive never line locked it. Would the most likely cause be the diff or the CV's I would like to investigate myself, but dont have many tools. I also noticed the noise was ALOT more prominent when I had a load in the back. Also, if anyone knows of a decent workshop on the sunshine coast that could help me out that would be great. Thanks for your help muz

and yeah, personally clint is a legit nice bloke, easy going and has his mind on the job.. was very impressed with his professionalism. will definately refer a few of my mates cars to him.

umm.. not sure on exact boost.. when driving around town, it seems stock, but when hits boost goes like a shower of sh*t.I may sound like a noob but im over working on cars. ill just let the pros do their thing and do it properly..

Dropped my ute in to Profile Autosports at 8am, collected it at midday the next day with 317kw and 750nm. Got a process west cooler and piping. 1000cc injectors, hi flo cat, airbox mod and K&N filter. plus a flash tune.. extremely happy with the work and was astounded as how cheap it was to net that much power. On the other hand, the clutch was slipping on the dyno and she probably could have made more power. So ive ordered a clutch and lightened flywheel. so happy days.! oh and a fuel pump.

HENZ. I was under the impression that the 6 speed manual could handle a fair bit of power. do you mean new clutch?

Thankyou Tab. Honestly, I dont have time to scrounge around for bits and pieces of mods. I would like the one workshop to have the car, work on it, and return it to me. that way if something fails or is not up to standard, they cant blame it on some ebay ripoff that I accidentally purchased. I know my way of thinking is very "bought not built" but I helped my mates 1jzgte corona get into the 10s from his garage and it was a farkin nightmare. Especially when he didnt let me drive it. I have researched a bit, but honestly I thought someone on here could help fast-track me with some workshop names... I mean isnt this why they call it a "community"... helping each other? Im new, so I have not much prior knowledge of my car, but if something goes wrong, or outstandingly well, then I will be more than obliged to post about it to help everyone else out. So go easy. Just wanted a simple answer to a simple question.. cheers everyone

Thankyou for the responses. Im not tarring everyone with the same brush. Its just that so many people obviously have too much time on their hands and a simple question about intercoolers (for example) can turn into a war over crust over crust-less sandwiches..you get me? wasnt trying to offend any particular person or group of people. Just wanted my question answered in a simple concise post. Like I said, new to fords. So Nizpro and Capa are the main websites I have found that do decent drive in drive out packages but I havent found anything in SE qld.

Hi guys, Im new to this forum and new to Fords in general. Ive bought a 09 FG XR6 turbo ute manual.. I just want be recommended some workshops that do packages to make a fair bit more power. Im looking at making about 350kw at the wheels. I work in mackay on a roster but my car stays on the sunny coast and I want to get work done on my car while im away. So, any suggestions? All help appreciated. Anyone that responds, but doesnt really help.... well... eat a dick! cheers.
