  1. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Does anyone here use any of these suggested mechanics?
  2. Thank you. This is what I really needed to know. So my best bet would be to buy the ASL one? I have looked on their website and they have a few different products of which I got lost in... Can you tell me which one is the one I need to look at please?
  3. Wow! I came to this thread for the first time today and there are no shenanigans? WTF!?!
  4. Cheers. Although we will clarify that my balls aren't in my pants but in my chest! I am gonna make a statement that there is nothing wrong with Autos, they do serve well sometimes. This is my first Manual car. I originally got my Auto license as nobody had a Manual car in my family at the time of going for my license. So, I'm not against Autos one bit but do prefer Manuals, they're fun!
  5. I am really surprised that everybody seems to love the colour. I personally, wasn't a fan of it at all when I first saw it, but will admit that it grew on me quite quickly. I thought everyone else would hate it too, but I've gotten nothing but compliments over the colour.
  6. I mean physically... Having them do the dirty work for me. Haha.
  7. Only if people here are willing to help. :D
  8. Thanks mate. Really? The interior shots are nothing special. Just took em' real quick to show people the inside. P.S. Anchorman is the most awesome movie ever!
  9. Is 'DynoWog' a member of the forums?
  10. Yes yes, I know. But I'm wanting the best possible price for the best service! :D I know of BluePower, but am still trying to weigh my options.
  11. Thanks mate. Reasonably priced though? I'm tight. Haha. If anyone knows of any other mechanics, it would be good to have a few options.
  12. I didn't confirm that I was female, so how did you beat me to it? Not sure about this Friday night, but definitely would love to cruise/meet people in the club. Will see what happens, eh.
  13. Hey guys! I've never owned a Turbo before, so it hasn't been much of an issue but I was wondering if anyone knows of any good mechanics for the further services of my BA XR6 Turbo. Someone who is good with price would be great. I am located in the Northern Suburbs but am happy to travel a little bit. Hopefully someone out there knows of a good mechanic. Cheers.
  14. Haha! Aww, I can be everyone's bro! :D
  15. Haha! I am easily persuaded, but I'm trying not to get tempted for mods.
  16. Thanks everyone.
  17. Faaaaar out. My head is spinning from reading the last few pages. It just goes to show that you really need to stay on top of what goes down on here. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, For those of you who haven't seen it... I posted pics of my new XR6t that I purchased today! Check out the thread here...
  18. Thanks everyone! I am stoked with it! It's so sexy it makes me want to cream in my pants! I was never a fan of leather interior and it was always a pain in the backside as it would get boiling in the summer and you'd slip and slide in the winter. If you guys check it out in person, you'll quickly realise that the condition is awesome in person and not just in the photos.
  19. Here it is! I finally picked it up today at 3pm! It's in my name and everything! My new baby!!! For those who don't know or can't tell, it's a 2005 BA MkII XR6 Turbo. There isn't much else to say, I am speechless and in love!
  20. Are you assuming I was still awake due to not having piece of mind? Or due to excitement.... Excitement is correct! :D
  21. This is true. In about 13/14 hours the car will be mine! >=]
  22. Yeah but apparently a LOT of mechanics have hammered down on roadworthies and it's a tougher process, so it's not the seller that will try to get out of paying for stuff, it depends on the mechanic. I did contact the seller and told him to get all the bushes that are split and worn replaced and he has a copy of the racv inspection too, so I have made my state, hopefully he follows through.
  23. Racv didn't say anything in the report about the Turbo and the car has been serviced regularly with all receipts kept. The guy seems like he has babied the car and looked after it, so hopefully the Turbo will last a little.
  24. Had a new clutch 8,000kms ago, front disc pads near new and rear are approx 50%. Bushes are a roadworthy item so should be changed. I know that the differential bush is split and that's being done. The racv report says that the stabliliser bars - links rear bushes are worn and rear suspension trailing arms bushes are split and I did show this to the seller and asked him to get them done when doing the roadworthy, but not sure if he will as his mechanic didnt pick up on them.
