Hows it going fellas? Recently got a 2005 ba mark 2 turbo ute. It has 133,xxx kms and before I got it the guy said it had a gasket leak between exhaust manifold and turbo gasket and was losing a slight amount of boost. Upon some research it appears there isnt actually a gasket there. ( correct me if I'm wrong) so I was driving it today and it just seems sluggish. This is the first turbo ive owned and 2nd ive ever driven. That other t ive driven was a fg f6 manual and when you punch the throttle it would throw you back in the seat. I know they are 2 completely different cars but mine feels like my old mans n/a. The boost gauge hits somewhere between 5-10 psi and you can here the turbo sucking and the bov when you back off but it just doesnt seem to pull. Dunno if im expecting too much having driven a f6 before hand and no other turbo. Also the plumb back style bov is blocked he told me so im assuming it forces the air back through the turbo? Could this have damaged it? Sorry this was a big read but this is my first car and im worried I got a fkn lemon. Cheers, jack.
