  1. Dealer has it advertised today in the paper for $27,990 :punchhead: That gap from $24.5k is coming down!!
  2. Unfortunately not everyone has access to that!! The rest of us mere mortals have to take what they can get!
  3. As I've said twice now, I just thought that someone either buying or selling a 'T' might get something useful out of the information! Oh boy!
  4. OK, I just want to get one thing straight, I ain't whinging Iknow how this game is played) Just thought that others (either nuying or selling) might get something out of the information. Oh boy.
  5. Oh, and they put 1,000kms on it over the weekend. Someone had fun!!
  6. I can't add a reply to my post in Cars For Sale as it has been CLOSED by the MODS (Fair cop.. it was sold). Topic Here However, I though that I would add the following: Broker purchased the car for $24.5k on Thursday arvo (15th Feb). Today (21st Feb) driving past REBEL Ford noticed my car for sale in their yard. Now get this!! They could only have had it for 5 days, however it is advertised (at the car yard) as "NOW $28,990, WAS $29,990" I'm guessing they paid the broker somewhere around $25k or so for it. So that gives them a $4 ~ $5k markup on the car!! Their ad here. Ah the tactics of car yards!! Might be of interest to anyone currently trying to sell or buy a 'T'
  7. Well after 4 months I have finally managed to get it fixed!! Loose wire to the alarm from the back of the fuse panel.............. Was Scotchlocked, now it's soldered! On a sour note though, the "Factory Alarm" is a dealer fit option that is NOT fully covered by FORD. So beware!! Luckily for me my local FORD dealer who has been really good to me over the years, (REBEL FORD, Elizabeth, Adelaide) managed to talk the delivery dealership into contributing 2/3 towards the cost of finding the fault.
  8. Discountnewcars.com.au are listing brand new '06 plated BF II XR6 Turbo's for $9056 off RRP. http://www.discountnewcars.com.au/Ford/For...rbo-MKII-BF.cfm
  9. Thanks. I've figured out that some 10mm or so is due to differing fuel loads (nearly full versus nearly empty). However I don't think that can account for the all of the 25mm difference. Anyone else care to contribute some numbers?? Probably good if you could give some indication of fuel load too, TIA
  10. Illustration of ride height difference..........
  11. Can people with unmodified suspensions please provide me with some feedback on the ride heights of their cars measured from the bottom of the tyre to the top of the inside of the wheel arch please?? Front and rear and on 17" wheels preferably. I have my reasons........ MY BA varies from front to back by around 20~25mm (660/665/680/675). The BF whilst flatter, sits 25mm lower than the BA at the back (655/655/645/655). Just trying to figure out if it's natural variation or something has sagged or maybe when they redid the BA's diff they did something wrong. Possible previous owner lowered it, but springs look like factory to me. TIA
  12. Don't believe that!! I just bought a BF Luxury Pack, 6 sp auto. for 3.5K less than than yard price, by paying cash. My ploy is to go in with a set figure in my head, tell them that I hate the argy bargy of "price negotiation" and that I would like them to give me their best price after which I will either buy or walk (ie they have one chance at it). Works for me most times. You can normally get around 10% off the yard price. Probably more depending on their markup. They expect you to haggle!
  13. Well, I know it's not a bad problem, but.......the garage has one too many "T"'s in it !!! Oh, yeah.. early '05 BF XR-6T's with the luxury pack definitely have illuminated window switches. My Ad for the BA is in the Cars for Sale section.
  14. Based on the assumption that you're not taking the piss........... Standard size available at most supermarkets. They even come in different colours!! (Wifey bought these, hence the pretty pastel color!!) On another note, Late '05 BF XR-6T's... Do they have illuminated windows switches??
  15. I've placed an add on CarSales.com in case anyone is vaguely interested............ Negotiable. Carsales.com.au Ad There's a few minor typo's that I need to fix up (Like delivery date 13 Nov 2007, DOH!!)
  16. On another note............. Anyone want to buy a '03 BA Series I, Leather, Premium Sound, 43k, Side airbags..........??? Adelaide.... 1 owner from new........ Hmmm, best I think about getting rid of mine now!!
  17. Thanks guys. We've done the deal at $36k.
  18. Anybody care to make comments or their opinion of this as far as value is concerned? I have my opinion... a lot closer to $35k. BF Bionic Luxury Pack - CarSales
  19. PM sent
  20. With the 6% reduction in basic cost for the BF Series II "T"'s over the Series I "T"'s, is the fleet discount still around 12.5% or has that changed??
  21. Any update? $$$'s
  22. OK, it's been three months and one visit to my FORD dealer. I still have the issue and the dealer couldn't fix it as he couldn't replicate it. Hopefully someone here can help if I add the extra information I now have. Firstly, this will only happen once a day, usually on the first drive of the day after I park and turn the car off. Interestingly I don't even have to actually drive or start the car for it to happen. All I need to do is turn the key to ON wait a few seconds and then OFF and I can get the four beeps. The four beeps take 5 to 10 seconds to occur. The four beeps are eminanting from under the bonnet. I have the factory alarm fitted.. I believe that it is related to this some how. Does the Factory alarm have its own battery backup?? Could this be playing up when the car hasn't been used say over night?? The four beeps I believe are NOT the "unacceptable oil pressure" alarm as they should be continuous and be heard through the sound system. Any help appreciate as it's driving me NUTS
  23. Normal, factory installed at no extra cost.
  24. :( Firstly, if this is in the wrong Forum please advise me of the error of my ways. OK. About a week ago, got out of car after driving to work, as I did, I heard 4 high pitched beeps. "ODD, hmmmm" must be from someone else's car. Well since then I have heard them on at least one occassion every day, including when I parked the car in the garage tonight (so can't be anyone elses' car!!). They are NOT the alarm style beeps, more like that sound the BP Tyre pressure machines make, quite high pitched. I only hear them as I get out after shutting the car off. No warning lights. And only one set of four. I finally thought I'd look in the manual. The only refernece I can find to 4 beeps relates to "unacceptable oil pressure detected" as does a search on this forum. Oil level is fine (sitting at the FULL mark). Oil used is the dealer provided product. Can't see any oil leaks. Dodgy sensor/oil pump?? Got me stumped. Anyone have any ideas or do I need to go and see the dealer? (I have 6 weeks of warranty left). Thanks, any info would be appreciated.
