  1. Mine farts now when changing gears under full load, will let you know if the ZF tune removes this:) I already asked my tuner to go easy with the Drive profile tune, and concentrate on the Performance mode for quick changes Will also let you know if its gets rid of the annoying jolt pulling up to the lights going back to 1st gear!!! cheers Armando
  2. Guys getting my ZF tuned at BTA Motorsports next week, will let you know the outcome. cheers Armando
  3. Mika Yeh I should have mentioned my tuner advised me to replace the stock I/C piping with a Herrod kit, looks great:) cheers Armando
  4. Thanks I was quite happy with results, yes it has standard exhaust apart from Hurricane high flow cat. I wanted to keep the car looking and sounding stock, I/C should definitely keep the air temps stabilized and provide more consistent boost, maybe a little more power. I love cars, but bikes are a completely different experience. Pretty hard to wheel stand a car in any gear:) cheers Armando
  5. Pretty good Was a hot humid evening in Sydney, 31 degrees and air density was 94.4% Baseline run standard was 237rwkw Final tune was 294.5rwkw with 750Nm of torque The car drives so much better, as soon as you hit the wall of torque at 2000rpm it takes off Considering a ZF 6 speed flash tune, and with the warmer months ahead, a PWR stepped I/C which should improve quality of air flow to the turbo, and see me join the 300rwkw club Fast enuff for a daily driver. I have a ZX-10R if I want to get fired out of a canon:) cheers Armando
  6. Guys Has anyone has their ZF 6 speed tuned recently with the SCT flashtune? What was your general impression with gear changes/shift points etc Was is worth doing? thanks Armando
  7. Yup, the FG XR6T has the standard LSD Thanks guys I was suspecting mid 12's would be the go, given they run mid to low 13's stock Any idea of 0-100km/h times if its capable of mid to low 12's? cheers Armando
  8. Hi I just had my car tuned recently, it made 294.5rwkw and 750Nm of torque on BP Ultimate 98 Car is an FG XR6T with a ZF 6 speed, what sort of quarter mile times can I expect to run on street tires? Anyone else with similar rwkw's that has quarter mile times to share? thanks Armando
  9. Guys I had my 2008 FG XR6T dynoed last week. I was wondering what rwkw range people are getting baseline. My baseline was 236rwkw/317rwhp ZF 6 speed Mainline Dyno 94.4 air density 31 degrees What is the conversion to fwkw, as this would appear that Ford are being very conservative in their 270kw spec of the engine. cheers Armando
  10. I had a chat with Ali, told him what first time mods I was looking for, and listened to the advice he gave me. I told him I wanted the car to look and sound stock, didn't want the cat back exhaust I chose the ID injectors as they are the most tunable, easy idling injector, and can be tuned on E85, which could add another 30-40rwkw to the equation. A lot of good stories about Autotech as well, BTA Motorsports happens to be close to home:) Cheers Armando
  11. Guys I paid $4600 for Growler CAI supplied and fitted Hurricane 3.5" high flow cat 100cpi ID 1000 cc injectors Herrod pipe kit SCT X3 flash tuner Set of platinum spark plugs Custom dyno by Ali at BTA Motorsports in Campsie, I was there whilst Ali was tuning the car. It took him 90 mins on the dyne, around 8 or 9 runs to get 294.5rwkw He loaded 3 tunes Max performance 294.5rwkw Low boost 7psi 265rwkw Valet tune, car has 3000 rpm limiter I have known Ali for around 18 months, his workshop is immaculate, and he is full of XR6T's and F6's Would recommend him to anyone who wants their Ford tuned Cheers Armando
  12. Hi Newbie owner of a 2008 FG XR6T, after reading the forum and deciding to go for some basic first round mod I was pleasantly surprised with the results Growler CAI ID 1000cc injectors Hurricane high flow cat Herrod intercooler pipe kit SCT X3 and custom tune by Ali at BTA Motorsport Just picked up the car, the dyno was run in hot/humid conditions, air density 94.4% and 31 degrees Results 294.5rwkw and 750Nm of torque, the car feels so much more responsive and the wall of torque is fantastic I think the piping kit also add a bit of turbo noise when you back off the throttle, not too loud, but enough for other drivers to know you have a turbo charged car:) Will wait a few weeks, getting the ZF 6 speed tuned, and will consider an intercooler for the hot months ahead to stabilise air temp into the turbo cheers Armando
  13. Hi I dropped my FG XR6T (ZF 6 speed) in this morning at BTA Motorsports for: Growler CAI 3.5" Hurricane high flow cat ID 1000cc injectors SCT X3 and custom dyno Anyone done similar mods would care to share rwkw and driver experiences? Will post up dyno report later Cheers Armando
