Fun Factor
I didn't like mine much (auto) until I got the suspension sorted and my brakes, now I love it and it's definately a better package then Expensive Daewoo has to offer with their Auto ... Manual is still where my heart is and my next choice would probably be manual.

Wheel Nuts
There are socket type tools to remove lock nuts they even sell them on ebay, on the old school rims with the nuts that are not countersunk I have seen a bloke use a lawn mower spark plug tool and smash it over the nut so it moulds to it and undo the nuts. More of a deterent then anything.

Shell R128 Specification 1375.4 in your book is rebranded as "ZF LifeGuardFluid6" and as I said previously the rep who I emailed before I went out to Gulf Western and the guy out there at the head office both explained that Gulf Western payed big dollars to test and prove to ZF that the oil is a "suitable" oil and this also why other manufacturers had to remove this claim I stressed this on them at the time of picking the oil up and they insisted it would be ok and claimed that several of their Territory’s and falcons with ZF 6 speeds all ran it with no dramas. Other people have mentioned time and time again they have ran Transmax Z and it works as well even in big HP setups. There are other alternatives and you can even save some coin !

Just after something other then chrome, anodising looks like it will scratch off as soon as a wheel brace touches them.

Your book wouldn't list ZF specific oils it would list Motorcraft numbers ?
-
Zf Fluid
Isn't the relevant specification on the bottom right of the table as per genuine ZF oil. ZF TEL ML 03D, 04D, 09, 14A,14B, 14C, 16L, 17C

Gulf Western has actually paid big dollars in research to be able to have that sticker on their 20 litre drums and legally be able to say it is suited, That is why castrol had to remove the "suitable" for zf 6 speed on their product data sheet. This is what the Gulf Western rep said when I picked up my oil from them at their office at Penrith NSW I am just going off that.

$190 for Oil and labour ! There is no way I would be taking my car there especially with a ZF box. And if he is changing the pan the oil would be dumped and need more then $190 worth of oil .......

Wider F6 Twisty Rims
Yep forget the powder coat is used to do it for a living and the amount of people who bring them back from one stone chip and the whole lot begins to peel off. Just make sure like Berzerker said , prep is everything for good adhesion, prime, undercoat and then paint... just get what ever rims you decide on painted at a Panel beaters if you are all thumbs and better off in the kitchen wearing an apron

Window Tinting
Blocks out 99% of the damaging Ultraviolet rays which fade your vehicle's upholstery What fades the upholstery if UV does not penetrate through glass ?
-
Window Tinting
My vote is for the Panda mask My point was not that you are doing it to be "cool" altho it may be quite cool as the uv rays would be cut down signifigantly, but on another note I am suprised that at 29 years old you do not know that it's illegal and stupid to tint a windscreen. During the day even with 5% tint you will be able to see who is driving when approached by oncoming traffic, but from side on they would only be able to see an outline of a person.
-
Window Tinting
I have seen a van with a green glitter tint on the front windscreen, in NSW it is illegal to tint the windscreen however a tinted or opaque band across the top of the windscreen is allowed and it must not go lower then portion swept by the wipers but most modern windscreens have that band across the top anyway. No offence dude but how old are you this is the sort of thing I thought was cool when I was 10 years old.

Yes you are right the plastic pan and filter are a throw away item, The metal pan has a replacable filter. But I am sure I saw a guy who had modified the plastic pan to allow the replaceable filter on here or AFF.

Gt Black
No offence taken, I am just proud of what Ford Australia is putting out at the moment, They have tried to head back in the direction of the 60's and 70's and I like it , It's a far cry better then the XF's thru AU's when ford castrated itself.

For that price including the metal pan, the torx bolts oil and labour it would have only been a service flush, and the torque convertor would not have been flushed and still had old oil in the box, kinda pointless really I am also running Gulf Western and have done 7000km's and it's great
