It is amazing how one eyed you guys can get - maybe the video is biased but the fact remains that the XR8 has got nothing when it comes up against the VE SS. Performance is why we buy cars and if you want V8 performance - buy an SS. I will not dispute the the xr6T is a good car but we are talking about the 8 cylinder variants. Do yourselves a favour and go have an UNBIASED drive in one of these things and an xr8 back to back - only the ford obsessed would stay true. Just my 2 cents

Just a note to the any of the gold coast crew. Do not get you window timting from Mastertint at Burleigh. I had to have my tint replaced 4 times - yes 4 . They are totally f@#ked. First it was the film had faults in it, second third and fourth was because the tinter is a d$#khead and does not know how to do his job properly.

Just got told that my replacement diff is on order. Car has done 8000K and after enought winging and going to another dealer they are replacing it. My question is - Will it be as good as new or will this one be the same. Anyone with this experience??

Plonky, what are you talking about . When Expensive Daewoo bring out a worthy contender for the mighty turbo (yes 240kw as apposed to holdens best 6 cylinder at 190kw) then you could make that comment. Until then the turbo still rules!!!!!!

For me it was diving with grey nurse sharks (4-5mtrs long) I have done it once at underwater world (Highly Recommended) and once in the wild at byron. Realy freaks you out when the brush up against you.

Scotty, The differences between the standard and R8 is that you get different wheels, trim, brakes and a hard cover and spoiler is standard. The engine and driveline are exactly the same, not worth the extra money in my opinion. But why bother with a v8 when you can have a blown 6!!!!!. Dain

Scotty, Go the auto. It is an awesome box and you can have the best of both worlds as it is a proper sequential shift (holds gears until you tell it to change). I had this problem about 4 weeks ago and I am so happy that I went for the auto.
