Hey all, Been a problem for a while now, with sad, short efforts at resolving it. The sunroof is doing nothing! I have checked the fuse which apparently goes along with the electric chairs also???? which still work. Pulled out the roof control panel and all wiring and PCBs look fine./ What else can I look over. I dont care for it myself but I do like things to atleast work! Thanks in advance

hey all, BA MK1 Premium sound All the sound is factory Just recently I have started losing the stock subwoofer all together. Nothing at all coming out of it. Im not sure, but I think the whole system loses the bass altogether. Then all of a sudden it will cut back in. This is with volume at any levels and I can find anything that is causing it to cut in/out. Anyone had this issue and rectified it, any common issues? Also have a decent woofer in a box hanging around, any benefit in using it with the fraud amp? im no speaker freaker and am happy with what fraud has supplied so wouldnt waste my time/money/effort in new amps, wiring so on so fourth to get some hektic bass yo! anyone find a way to get these pesky clamps off with just the nobbly end on it. Just cut the hose or snap the clamp, because im going too!!

Hey guys has any one had trouble with getting aftermarket oil lines to seal nicely into the block?? Tried everything! Also have recently noticed where the blow off valve was, a hose has been left unplugged under the x-over! would this cause turbo failure? Thanks

thanks mate ill look into the fuse. as for the battery I just replaced it. couldnt wait another night to see if my turbo replacement was a success. and it was!!! first crank and she was all sweet with no leaks. mission complete

Hey just wondering if anyone has had issues jump starting there BAs. I had the battery from factory replaced 2 months ago and recently left the radio on :( until the battery went flat. Tried jump starting it with a fully charged 550cca battery and it wouldnt even give me anything from the starter just the click click click! Should it be able to be jump started? The battery could be rubbish as I tried hooking a small charger up to it and it didnt give it any life at all! Also the factory sunroof has stopped working all together. Anyone had any issues or common gremlins with the sunroof? The handbook doesnt even specify where any fuses or relays are. Could anyone enlighten me as to where they are so I can troubleshoot this piece of dirt!! Thanks guys and great forum! BA MK1 XR6T by the way

Bought another xr6 turbo...cheap, now I know why haha BA MK 1 5 speed with 70 000kms. Looks to have been a bit mis treated with a huge pointless intercooler on it. Dead stock. Has a massive exhaust leak between either the manifold and block or manifold and turbo, drove it anyway and still made good boost. notcied the turbo was a little noisy on wind down after shutting her off compared to my well maintained xr6 haha. Anyway took it for a bit of a stint for maybe 100kms and on the way home it lost alot of boost, almost none. sounded as if it had popped an intercooler pipe, but cant find any leaks. now when winding down the turbo is making a lot of knocking and noises. Looks like it has definitely had a bearing collapsed or even a bit of sh*t has caused some damaged as the pod filter job is a shocker. Im more of a standard well looked after car type of guy but seeing as im probably going to have to rebuild this piece of sh*t for realistically $1100ish, just wanted to know what peoples opinions were. I dont want to go mental but a bit more would be good. So what would be my best option. Rebuild the turbo, new lines, fresh service ~ $1400ish Brand new, new lines, fresh service ~ $1800ish Uprgrade? flash, injectors, exhaust 10psi ~ $3000ish Pockets arent the deepest but just wondering what your opinions were, keeping in mind we are dealing with a mk1 engine and a 5 speed box haha

yea well spark plugs could be an obvious thing to try. Just thought id see if anyone has had a simliar issue. Im getting new plugs asap anyway because I have a flash tuner with generic tunes and realise some properly gapped plugs would be needed. Does anyone know the best plug off the top of their head?? What sort of gapping would be optimal too? I would do some in depth research etc. but really dont have the time lately :( Plugs could be 68 000ks old for all I know, I have driven 8000ks and its only recently started doing it. Along with another annoyance grrrrrr. Im getting a flapping noise under full boost (5/6psi hahaha) in 1st and 2nd gear. very odd noise. not like pinging or anything though.

xr6t ba mk1 Pretty standard just has big fmic and a cold air setup. Sometimes the car will start rough or fire and stall then be a bit hard to start. once started I get some fuelly smoke out the exhaust. Seems as if it could be flooding slightly somehow?? Anyone had a similiar problem before? Cheers
