  1. Thanks again guys! I will give Mick a call early in the new year to suss out the prices and what I want. Man this paper clip/rubber band combo works well!!! And Worm you really need to do something about the blood stains on the walls of your basement!! and that little wooden rocking-horse in the corner ..... that is just creepy man!!! Cheers again.
  2. Thanks for the information (or lack there of) guys!!! LOL I have taken the risk and sent a PM to Worm. My next post will probably be done with a paper clip and a rubber band, MacGyver style, while I'm chained to the plumbing in his basement. I think I'll be getting on the phone to Mick at Pit Lane early in the new year to see what he may recommend. I'm wanting around 260-280rwkw that's all, although 290rwkw would be nice. COMING IN 2011 - THE NOT SO STOCK AS A ROCK BF XR6T OF ROBSKI
  3. Hey guys and gals, I know I'm a newbee but I have been reading about the basic upgrades to do to the BF XR6T and I'm not after anything over the top just want something that goes well if you put the foot down, so here is what I have been thinking: I have a September build 06 BF XR6T - Siemens 60LB injectors (I have heard Ebay is great for these. Do I need the full size or the 3/4???) - High Flow Cat (100 or 200 CPSI?? and which brand and size, specifically, should I be getting??) - Cold air intake (I have no idea which one to get) - X3 Flash tune Now for the interesting part. I have also been looking into Liquid Gas Injection systems and as far as I understand the injectors are not needed if I go down that path, is that right or wrong??? Also I have heard that the best place to get the Liquid Gas Injection systems done is at PIT LANE PERFORMANCE (Mick), right??? Anyway would it still be worth getting the High Flow Cat, Cold air intake and eventually the X3 tune if I go the Liquid Gas Injection system??? or is there another route I should be looking into??

MOOOOHOOOOHAHA!!! Success is mine!!! The car I went to have a look at last Monday is now sitting in my driveway. The damage to the front bar was nothing but a stone chip above the left fog lamp!! The 'L' on the Falcon badge was missing and that was it. 86k on the clock, all country kms, drove solid no noises to be heard and I was sold. Although I didn't let the salesman know!! It was marked at $20K drive away, I offered him $18K cash (which he declined) so I left and the next day he called me up and offered $19K so I said no thanks. 5min later he came back with $18.5k which I then happily took. So now I have a completely stock September 06 build XR6-T. NOW TO BEGIN SAVING FOR A FEW MODS!!!! MOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOHAAHAA!!! P.S. Thanks Vevapower for all your advice mate you have been great, and enjoy that new FGT (I am jealous).

Hey Vevapower, Sydney is no problem what are the stats and price on that sweet ride??

That's no problem mate, I'm just excited about this one I'm looking at on Monday. I'm hoping that it is as cherry as it sounds, and stock as a rock so gives a good platform to work from.

Yeah I looked at that BA yesterday on CarSales. I would still like the ZF box though so I think I'm going to hold out for a 06 or 07 XR6T. But like I said above I will be looking at one on Monday so here's hoping!! And I didn't know that from 06/06 they had the Typhoon bottom end, that's cool.

I think I have found a possible car. It is a September build 06 and has around 85k on the clock. Stock standard (but that is what I was after). I will be looking at it on Monday. I have been told that it has a couple of chips in the front bar (minor) and some gutter rash on the wheels. The service history is very good and has always been serviced ahead of time. Has had 2 previous owners 1st it was a fleet car and then the 2nd owners traded it in on a Merc. The service history shows that it has been serviced at the same dealership it's whole life. Well it all sounds good but I will update further once I have taken it for a drive and registered all the sounds and feel. Anything in particular that I should be looking for when I look at the car?

Thanks for that guys. I was thinking the ZF would be the way to go but just had to get confirmation. I will keep looking and see what I can come up with. What does the XR6 non turbo with the ZF go like?? Just out of interest.

Hi all, I am looking to buy a XR6T and I am wondering what would my best options be? Here are the facts: - Have around $19,000 to spend - Car will be a daily driver - Want under 100,000k's - Want an Auto box - I'm in Victoria (If anyone had something they would like to flog to me) Anyway what I know so far is that the ZF gearbox is a piece of artwork, however I am wondering was the BA box (4speed) a strong box or would I be better off going for the ZF (BF)??? Any advice on this topic would be much appreciated.
  12. That thing is AWESOME!!!
