I had a similar sales pitch from Brad Garlick Ford. They have Herrod and a DeFilipo mild steel system. I was told I would get a huge increase in torque and no need to get it chipped. Garlick's are also offering their own chip. They told me that the Unichip was crap compared to theirs. Sounds like crap to me. NO SALE to me.
  3. I had a good look last night. There are two tabs on the bar that when pressed up against the metal frame, sloves the problem. My only issue is that the threaded holes have been used for the intercooler and oil cooler. ShadyXR, do you have a NA or a Turbo? The bolts may still be able to be used but it makes it a bit more tricky. ShadyXR, photos will helkp us.

  10. This may have happened. I did not notice this when the car was new. However, something must change with the clips holding everything together. Maybe new clips/bolts would be an option.

The urban myth is alive and well.
  12. I have had the same problem. My car is a 12/2002 build and has been on the road for just on 12 months. I have calculated my consumption using a spreadsheet and is is an average 15.2 L/100ks. I had my ECU flashed at the last service (30,000) and the consumption has jumped to over 16L/100ks for the last 6 tanks. Mine is going back in two weeks for a diff oil leak, disk machine and handbrake. I will aks about the abnormal consumption as well. Something is wrong.
