Hey guys was having a read through this whole thread and noticed very similar problems to what I was experiencing. The funny thing is that everyone has had the diff bush replaced but issue still there. I had the same thing done on my car but still had drive train noises and clunk which I thought may have been the box but was actually coming from the rear. I took my car to a real suspension place and had the whole underneath inspected and can anyone guess what was causing the problems??? The whole diff cradle assembly area, not sure what its called but that whole thing was left loose from when FRAUD done the last diff bush change. The whole rear end was loose and moving around, it had thrown camber out, the toe was all wrong, the car was crabbing and alignment was out and most of all I was getting clunks and thuds from the rear. The whole rear end was tightened up and now the car drives like new and I have no more clunks or thuds at all. One word of advice is if you have just had some work carried out by FORD and your bum is telling you that something isn't right its prob because Ford has stuffed it. It might be worth taking the car to a suspension place as that fixed my problem and I can actually now enjoy my car..... that's my 2 cents....

Hi Guys, I have a BF Mk 2 Xr6 turbo sedan and I could of sworn that I had white illuminated window switches and all of a sudden they are no longer illuminated. Has anyone had this issue before? I thought that all Mark 2 Bf's had illuminated window switches?? Is there anyway to make them come back as I doubt they can all just die in one go.. Thanks

Hey mate I had a look right through the whole book and there is nothing about getting the volume down. Do you know under what menu it is to put the volume down as there is nothing in my book???

If nobody knows how to shut these sensors up, where is the unit so that I can rip it out? Its sending me nuts...

It's a BF and I have looked but can't find any option to put the volume down...

Does anyone have an answer for this as I have looked everywhere, read the manual etc but cannot find anyway to shut the constant beep. Is there a fuse or anything like that I need to remove. It so annoying.

Whats the setting? I can't find anything in the menu.

Hmm interesting will have a look when I get the chance, I thought it would be a fuse that I can pull out.

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone can help, I have had a new rear bar put into my car but the reverse sensors weren't replaced which I dont mind but the issue is when in reverse I get a constant beep. Just wondering if there is a fuse that I can remove in order to stop the beep. Cheers

Hey guys I finally figured it out..If you go into the menu and scroll through there is an option that says PLof or Plon..I switched it to PLof. Have no idea what this option is but it fixed it.

Volume...Does that have to be up..LOL I tried manually tuning in channels and no sound, also tried a CD but same thing. What you mean audio on button?? I only have the nob which turns the screen on and off..

Just wondering if anyone has come across this before, I had the battery disconnected from my car and then after reconnecting it I have no audio. The ICC unit lights up and everything but I just have no sound coming from it at all.. Does anyone know what I can do? It is a stock bf xr6 turbo unit, it is the single cd unit. This was working with no issues previously. Any suggestions?

The car spikes to about 14psi then holds at 10psi... Im getting the wastegate actuator replaced with a 12psi as the other one broke, plus im getting it retuned.

Quick update, it happened again tonight and I also heard it ping a bit...looks like it is the wastegate. Now I need to see if my tuner can squeeze me in. Does the car have to be retuned if I put a different (12psi) wastegate in?

I have been watching it for the last 2 days and been giving it a bit here and there, it seems to be running fine. I still want to take it back to my tuner to check on a dyno but he is too busy so looks like I wont be able to have it on a dyno until next year.

Just wanna takes everyone's attention back to the car that was for $16,500 on carsales...That car was and still is my car, I have taken it off carsales as im keeping it. Just wanna know why everyone is so quick to judge just because something seems to good to be true. The car is actually immaculate and YES is still under new car warranty. Have just had warranty work carried out by Ford with papers to prove. I was selling it as I needed some quick cash at the time but now my situation has changed and im keeping it because it is one hell of a car. And just to the comment that was made about it being on carsales for ages, I dont consider having a car for sale for 3 months as ages. Anyway moral of the story, just because something seems to good to be true..In this case a car at a low price it doesnt immediately mean a dodgey deal.

Yeh im gonna be real careful now when filling up, double check the pump lol. Just wondering if the fuel could of "confused" or spooked the ECU... It can be a coincidence that it only happened when I had the 95 RON fuel or can it?

Hi guys, I have a really weird issue that has happened and hopefully someone can tell me what is going on. Firstly my car is a Dec 06 BF xr6 turbo that is completely standard except for a custom tune, the car makes 257rwkw. Now I have had this tune for nearly a year now and never had an issue with it, it would always spike to 15psi then hold on 10psi as this is how it was setup in the tune. The other day I accidently put in about 20 litres of 95 octane by accident, after realising this I filled ontop of it about 35 - 40 litres of 98 octane as the tune is set for this fuel. After this I noticed that when I go to WOT the car would spike to about 20 psi and then the car would start to jerk then I would immediately back off. Now I assume the jerking is from the ECU cutting of the throttle. I ran this tank of fuel all the way out and filled the car up today with the 98 octane fuel and then gave it a boot to see if the issue was still there, to my suprise it had gone and the car was running like it did before it had the issues. Does anybody know what this can be, can bad fuel cause these problems? Or can it be that the wastegate is on the way but why would it only happen when the lower octane fuel was in?

I went from a E36 382i BMW and previously had a 01 SS Late model camira and what a difference the XR6 is....Loads more torque than the Late model camira and a lot quicker.. I own a BF MARK 2 XR6 Turbo...
